You’ll play as a lone survivor searching for answers in an earth destroyed by an ecological disaster. Along the way, you’ll have to scavenge resources, both on foot and from aboard their adaptable airship....

Today, Bethesda and id Software released a new trailer for Doom Eternal that introduces a new enemy type to the Doom franchise. The Doom Hunter is the latest formidable adversary that the Doom Slayer will face in Hell. Doom Eternal is the hotly anticipated follow-up to 2016’s reimagining of the Doom franchise, easily one of the best games of 2016. Aside from introducing the formidable Doom Hunter, the trailer shows off some of the mobility enhancements the sequel is making, like dashes and one extremely impressive long jump over the Hunter’s head....

Bethesda has released a short teaser trailer offering the first look at Doom, with a full reveal due during the publisher’s E3 press conference on Sunday, June 14. The 11-second video teases a look at the game’s shotgun and the Revenant, the rocket-launching monster first introduced in Doom 2. Bethesda announced Doom in early 2014 alongside plans for a playable beta to those who pre-ordered last year’s Wolfenstein: The New Order....

Bioware has confirmed that it won’t be showing off any of the next Mass Effect or Dragon Age games at the EA Play Live showcase later this month. Dragon Quest 11 S has been out for more than a year now, meaning that most JRPG fans will probably have already completed it. What some might not realize, however, is that there’s an entire third act that takes place after the credits have rolled. It’s entirely optional, but can greatly extend the length of a playthrough, while also granting access to the game’s true ending. The story-related content alone adds on at least another five hours of playtime, but there are plenty of other side quests and activities to keep players busy for far longer still....

Square Enix has been making a push to promote the Dragon Quest series outside of Japan, which has resulted in an expanded port of Dragon Quest XI: Echoes an Elusive Age for the Nintendo Switch and the addition of Hero in Super Smash Bros. An intro cinematic purportedly from a cancelled Duke Nukem Begins prequel project has been posted online by its director. As spotted by PC Gamer, the video was posted by Gregor Punchatz, an artist who was recruited by id Software to create sculptures for some of the iconic enemies in the original Doom series. In 2008 he was working for Texas animation studio Janimation, who were hired by Gearbox Software to create a ‘vertical slice’ for a Duke origin story entitled Duke Nukem Begins....
