Bandai Namco Entertainment has been relatively quiet concerning Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot lately, which should come as no surprise. It doesn’t release until January 17, 2020, and underwent a massive info dump in mid September, with major story components confirmed, new mini-games like Gohan’s Baseball revealed, and new playable characters added to the list. There’s a lot of information currently out for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, and it stands to reason that a few fans of the franchise may have missed out on a detail or two....

The Xbox One version of Dying Light doesn’t render at full 1080p or run as smoothly as the PS4 version, according to pixel-counting experts Digital Foundry. While the site acknowledges that it’s still trying to determine the exact resolution of the Xbox One version, its initial report suggests that the game runs at a native resolution of 1536×1080 “or something very close to it”, leading to a “basic 20 per cent pixel drop in the overall pixel count” when compared with the PS4 version’s native 1080p output....

Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment announced an official PC tournament for Apex Legends yesterday. The Preseason Invitational will take place in Krakow, Poland, from September 13 to September 15. The EXP Pro-Am Apex Legends Exhibition held on July 11, and the forthcoming X Games Minneapolis Apex Legends EXP Invitational on August 2 to August 3, contribute to the battle royale’s ongoing Preseason. In a press release, design director Chad Grenier said, ‘Competition is in the DNA of Apex Legends and this competitive event will showcase the game at its highest-level....

EA exec Laura Miele has delivered a powerful speech in which she called for more action to remove toxicity in the gaming industry, including the dismissal of leaders who “fall short of basic standards”. During her keynote speech at DICE 2022, Miele lamented the state the industry is currently in. “Let’s face it, there have been some rough headlines,” Miele said (via IGN). “Stories about negligence and lawsuits, all stemming from leaders who failed to uphold standards we’ve come to expect… Women have been harassed, bullied, marginalised, held back in their careers, paid less, and much, much less”....

EA announced today its plan to rebrand the Origin Access and EA Access subscription services. Soon both of the services will share the same name of EA Play. However, you should only expect a change in the naming conventions. Features wise, everything will remain the same for now, including the fact that EA Access and Origin Access are separate paid services. The EA Play rebrand is likely in preparation for the upcoming addition of EA Access on Steam....

There are plenty of interesting NPCs to meet in Elden Ring; some of them will turn on you eventually, while others have long, intricate questlines for you to complete and even potentially unlock a new alternate ending at the end of it all. Elden Ring’s tutorial is now impossible to miss thanks to the game’s latest update. Some players missed the tutorial entirely as it required you to intentionally fall down a hole: something that feels like trolling. Elden Ring has drawn plenty of newcomers to the Soulsborne games, so missing the tutorial meant a particularly tough start. I was very fond of Escape Academy back when I reviewed it. It was short and most of the puzzles were pretty doable for someone like me who’s horrible at puzzles. When it was announced that the game was getting an expansion, I was all for it. Escape from Anti-Escape Island adds five new rooms to escape from, which is over a third of the 13 included with the base game....

The League of Legends World Championships Quarter Finals, taking place at Wembley over four days beginning October 15, will be broadcast live on BBC Three, the BBC has announced. Nokk is one of the most recent Operator additions to Rainbow Six Siege, along with Warden. Nokk is an Attacking Operator that’s going to be a boon for a very specific type of player. Most players in Siege aren’t going to find much use for her, but in the right hands, she can be a pretty terrifying force. Nokk definitely has some serious weaknesses that we’ll cover, but players that are aware of the weaknesses can work to lessen their impact, ensuring Nokk can have a real effect on the round....

Today Capcom provided a new and extended look at its upcoming dinosaur shooter Exoprimal. The video showcases a full match of the Dino Survival mode, and we get to see the teams compete to complete ever-changing objectives dictated by the Leviathan AI. Apparently, we better get used to hearing “summoning raptors” quite a lot during this kind of match, but the quick and deadly dinosaurs made popular by Jurassic Park aren’t the only adversaries we’ll have to face....
