FromSoft’s critically acclaimed action-RPG epic continues to go from strength to strength. In its first week alone, Elden Ring was a chart-topping success in the UK and was outstripping its nearest AAA competitor, Horizon Forbidden West, by almost two to one. Next, we received word that it was the biggest launch of 2022 and soon after that, the company confirmed that it had sold over 12 million copies of the game globally....

One of CS:GO’s biggest competitions is getting a new look in 2020, as reports surfaced today that ESL would be making changes to the format of the ESL Pro League ahead its 11th season. Previous seasons of the Pro League had a total of 48 teams competing to make the finals. These teams were broken up into three separate groups with those being Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific with each region having 16 slots available....

Richard Edwards, Lead Designer for Evil Genius 2, spoke with PC Invasion during a preview event and said that one of the biggest challenges in developing the sequel was in capturing the spirit of the first game, which has become a cult classic....

The Fall Guys Twitter account is the gift that keeps on giving. Earlier this week, it gave us a look at some new obstacles coming to the game show battle royale. Now it has revealed a new Fall Guys level that’s made entirely of fans. The new level and level variations, which include the new obstacles, will arrive in-game next week. The new Fall Guys level, dubbed BIG FANS, is another race which seems to be in the style that fans enjoy....

The football World Cup is almost upon us, and for many, it’s the only time they have much interest in football. EA is not wanting to miss out on the action and has announced a load of free World Cup Russia content for FIFA 18. The free content update will give players what EA is calling, “the official tournament experience” with all the elements of the official World Cup, although corruption is probably not included....

When the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster was released for both PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation 4, many fans were surprised just how well the game had aged, and it left a lot of gamers hoping that Final Fantasy XII would eventually get the same treatment. It wasn’t long before fans prayers were answered when Square Enix announced just over a year ago that Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age would be coming to the PlayStation 4....

The pre-launch trailer for Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XIV has been released and it’s looking pretty. The trailer boasts a slew of gorgeous environments and showcases the top-notch work they’ve done on their character design. Everything about the gaming world they have created looks visually stunning, as Square Enix is known for doing. The game has been in the works for some time and the beta has been running to work out the kinks since mid-July....

Final Fantasy XV now has a confirmed release date and specs. PC players will be joining the action on 6 March 2018. The PC version launches alongside the Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition on consoles and comes with everything released so far. This includes: Expanded Map: Insomnia City Ruins – all-new side quests and enemies such as Cerberus and Omega will be available through the expanded map of the Crown City of Insomnia....

The nominations for 2019’s Game Awards have been revealed and there are some predictable yet reasonable choices included in the Game Of The Year category. Control, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Resident Evil 2, The Outer Worlds, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate all have legitimate claims to being called the best game released this year - although Smash technically came out last December. There’s also Death Stranding if you really like melodramatic hiking simulators....

Five years after developer Jumpship formally unveiled its side-scrolling sci-fi apocalypse adventure Somerville, a release is in sight, with the studio having somewhat unexpectedly announced a 15th November launch on Xbox One and PC earlier today. Jumpship is an independent studio founded by film animator Chris Olsen in collaboration with Dino Patti, co-founder and former CEO of Limbo studio Playdead. And while Somerville’s formal reveal came in 2017, Olsen - who has worked the likes of Skyfall and The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron - had already been tinkering away on the project for three years before that....

Former Arkane Lyon studio director Romuald Capron has joined the new Paris-based studio ZeDrimeTim to work on a new 1950s science fiction platformer. The studio’s first game, Darwin’s Paradox, is a platform adventure game for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S that draws inspiration from Inside, Limbo, and Little Nightmares for a game “filled with humour and influenced by the Golden Age of the 1950s science fiction and today’s 3D animation feature films”....

Jason Segel‘s place in television history was already assured with roles in prominent series like Freaks and Geeks and How I Met Your Mother. Yet, he’s decided to pad his resume and return to the medium that launched his career. AMC gave a full season pickup back in July 2018 for Dispatches from Elsewhere, a 10-episode mystery anthology series starring and created by Segel. The series is about a group of people who stumble upon a puzzle beyond the veil of ordinary life, leading them to a mystery far deeper than the characters ever imagined....

Amassing a subscriber-base on Twitch is understandably one of the most difficult undertakings as a content creator, but BadBunny’s viral subscriber rant caught the attention and ire of several other streamers on the platform. One of the most famous streamers, DrDisrespect, also saw her rant, prompting him to respond on his channel a day later with a not-so-subtle parody mocking her outburst. BadBunny, a popular streamer under the “Just Chatting” and “Politics” categories on Twitch, recently had a clip go viral where she openly calls out her viewership for not subscribing to her channel....

Former BioWare writer Mike Laidlaw has shared a few tantalising details on what he had planned for Dragon Age 4 prior to his departure from the Edmonton-based developer last year. Speaking at the Game Developers Conference 2018 this week (via US Gamer), Laidlaw indicated that we may have gotten more details about Elven apostate Solas, who appeared as one of the central characters in Dragon Age: Inquisition and the accompanying Trespasser DLC....

Koei Tecmo decided to reveal more interesting footage of their massive title Dynasty Warriors 9 during a stage event hosted by Sony Interactive Entertainment at Taipei Game Show in Taiwan. EA has announced The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-Earth, a free-to-play collectible R.P.G. on mobile. EA has partnered with Middle-earth Enterprises, a division of The Saul Zaentz Company, for the game. It will feature turn-based combat and a roster of characters from, of course, The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. EA Sports UFC 2 will launch on PS4 and Xbox One on March 17, EA has announced. When Pedro Pascal met Denzel Washington, it was his first day on the set of The Equalizer 2. As often seems the case for Pascal, he was coming into an established universe.
