It’s been a busy week for Fallout fans following the Fallout 76 reveal but there’s more Fallout to come. The Fallout: New California total conversion mod, which is a prequel to Fallout: New Vegas, now has a final release date. Fallout: New California is set to release on 23 October after five years of development. Beta sign-ups will apparently be taking place in July, and although the main questline has been completed, the team are wanting more time to work on side quests before the October launch....
Bethesda’s annual Quakecon event took place over the weekend, where the company spoke about upcoming content. Chief among which was the first single player DLC for DOOM Eternal, which is getting fully revealed later this month, at Gamescom. Bethesda also addressed some previously announced stuff too, including official mod support for Fallout 76. While the team has needed a little more time due to Fallout 76‘s online structure, mod support is still coming....

EA has announced that the latest entry in its long-running football series FIFA 21 will be available on EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate from next week. The game will be joining EA stablemate Knockout City as the two new titles added to the service for May, allowing those with subscriptions to EA Play on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC to download and play the full game and because EA Play is included with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, users on that service will get both games too for no additional charge....

Former Dragon Age creative director Mike Laidlaw has joined Assassin’s Creed Odyssey developer Ubisoft Quebec. Former Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime has today unveiled his new company known as Dreamhaven based in Irvine, California. The new venture intends to “create and publish original games for players all over the world” and already boasts two studios under its wing staffed by several former Blizzard staff known as Moonshot Games and Secret Door. Moonshot Games is headed up by Jason Cheyes, who was previously an Executive Producer at Blizzard and led the Hearthstone team, Dustin Bowder who was Game Director of Starcraft II and Ben Thompson meanwhile was another Creative Director on Hearthstone....

Disney has reconfigured its theatrical release schedule again as the coronavirus pandemic continues to rage throughout the country, with the company yanking or delaying some films while leaving others in place — at least for now. The first, not totally unexpected move was pulling Mulan off its August 21 release date. Originally set to arrive this past spring and then this month, the live-action remake of the animated classic was moved to August after the first major wave of the pandemic....
The Nintendo Switch games line-up should not be judged on what will be available at launch on March 3, but on all the titles coming to the system over the coming months, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has told CNET.
