Surprise! Elden Ring is finally getting its long-expected Colosseum mode in a free update - and it arrives for PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles tomorrow, 7th December. Elden Ring publisher Bandai Namco confirmed the news via Twitter this afternoon with a brief trailer showing the new update in action. The update promises multiplayer action where you can fight alongside friends to take on the game’s Colosseum, or fight against them in new PVP modes....

A fan-made Bioshock short film gives a glimpse of what a full-length feature could be. From filmmaker Steve Turselli and other industry professionals, the 11-minute “The Interrogation of Timmy H” is as moody and evocative as you might expect of the original Bioshock game. That’s in part due to a new score from the original Bioshock composer Garry Schyman. Timmy H was a follower of Frank Fontaine in the underwater city of Rapture, though things didn’t work out too well for him....

EA has announced that FIFA 12, released on September 30 in the UK and September 27 in North America, has already notched up an estimated 3.2 million unit sales. According to EA that has resulted in over 200 million minutes of online play since the game’s release – 170 years of continuous FIFA 12 play in one week. “FIFA 12 is a stunning achievement by our team at EA Canada,” said Andrew Wilson, executive vice-president of EA SPORTS....

Square Enix’s Tetsuya Nomura has revealed that the Final Fantasy VII Remake development team is considering revisiting various titles in the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII at some stage. Nomura-san made the comments in response to a fan who mentioned playing Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII during a The World Ends With You: Final Remix Q&A. The translation implies that Final Fantasy VII Remake might be accompanied by something from the compilation series, although nothing is set in stone yet....

Mojang, developer of Minecraft, has today put out a rather entertaining little video explaining just how a Minecraft Xbox One S console is made today. It’s probably not how you think. It turns out it takes eight dirt blocks and one redstone dust block in order to make the console, and part of the process involves a top-secret enchanting process that this video goes into fascinating detail over, along with the organically grown pixels that are harvested, as opposed to those questionable battery farmed ones....
