Spike TV was present at E3 to demonstrate to Game Rant their upcoming unique fighting game, Deadliest Warrior, based on the hit TV series of the same name. There has been a lot of anticipation building up to the point of nearly bursting as fans wondered what games would be coming to their Xbox 360s in the coming months. EA has announced that its games will return to Steam following a rumor-filled period regarding a reunion with the gaming service. The studio’s titles will become available on the distribution platform once more, on the back of an eight-year estrangement, with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order set to be the game marking the return. Fallen Order is due for a November 15 release but can be pre-ordered as of right now....

EA is to close four of its longest-running free-to-play PC titles: Battlefield Heroes, Battlefield Play4Free, Need For Speed World and FIFA World, EA Studios executive vice president Patrick Söderlund has announced. “We’re constantly looking at how players are engaging with our games – listening, learning and shaping our experiences based on that feedback – and wanted to bring some news today regarding a few of our older PC free-to-play games,” he explained....

The Epic Games Store has already seen quite a few changes within its first year of launch. If you weren’t aware, there is a roadmap on Trello that indicates the projects that the Epic Games team is chipping away at. Things like shopping cart options, new game launches, and general overlay updates should be on their way. One thing, though, that it doesn’t really touch on is the offering of free games....

Space-faring MMO game EVE Online and its developer CCP are constantly evolving, both growing across over two decades of operation. But 2018 was an especially significant year for the Icelandic developer. South Korean publisher Pearl Abyss, best known for creating its own MMO Black Desert Online, acquired them that year. “We’ve gone through a lot of changes, but that’s kind of what we do,” said CCP CEO, Hilmar Pétursson, speaking to PC Invasion....

Evolution Studios has joined the Codemasters family. The DriveClub developer will be added to Codemasters portfolio of studios from April 25, becoming a multi-platform developer in the process. Evolution’s existing IP, including MotorStorm and DriveClub will remain Sony’s property. “Over the last 30 years, Codemasters and Evolution Studios have created some of the most successful racing franchises in the industry, including GRID, DiRT, DRIVECLUB and MotorStorm,” Codemasters wrote on its blog....

Fallout 4’s Automatron DLC will launch on March 22 for PS4, Xbox One and PC priced £7.99, Bethesda has announced. Automatron gives players the chance to hunt down the Mechanist’s robots and harvest them for parts. April will see the release of Wasteland Workshop, followed in May by Far Harbor. Bethesda has announced that the Fallout 76 beta, which the publisher is delightfully calling B.E.T.A. (Break-It Early Test Application), begins on October 23 on Xbox One. PS4 and PC players will be able to jump on a week later, on October 30. The beta — a 45gb download — will only be playable during ’targeted timeframes’, for somewhere between four to eight hours, as Bethesda looks to put its servers under as much stress as possible prior to the game’s launch the following month....

With one of the biggest criticisms levied against Fallout 76 being its lack of NPCs and dialogue options, fans of the controversial MMO are cautiously optimistic about the game’s upcoming Wastelanders expansion pack. Not only will the new addition to the title add NPCs to the world, but these new characters will supposedly also offer interesting quests and dialogue options in a similar vein to those of traditional Fallout games. It seems Bethesda is finally making these long-requested features a priority for Fallout 76 going forward, so much so that the team’s supposedly breaking the bank....

Warcraft 3: Reforged was Blizzard’s chance to stir up fan nostalgia and bring back an old, beloved game that can’t be played anymore in its original version; instead, fans are furious over the newly released game and its many shortcomings. Fans expected a lot of this remaster, but Warcraft 3: Reforged is so disappointing that fans are accusing Blizzard of a bait and switch. The original Warcraft 3 was the pinnacle of real-time strategy games when it released in 2003, and fans loved pretty much everything about it....

Ubisoft has confirmed that Far Cry New Dawn will feature a number of ’light RPG mechanics,’ including gun crafting. This is a pretty big step for the series, and it’s the only time Ubisoft has spoken about them at any length since New Dawn’s reveal. In addition to crafting firearms, you can also upgrade your home base, unlocking improved upgrades and other goodies. ‘You’ll be able to craft guns that have ranks, and these guns will be useful to fight against enemies that also have ranks,’ Ubisoft’s Jean-Sebastien Decant revealed during a developer Q&A (via PST)....

Pilots and Capsuleers across EVE Online are now embroiled in the second chapter of the latest expansion, Invasion Chapter 2, which sees the Triglavian Collective wreaking more havoc in New Eden. The idea of an outside PvE invasion has been brewing for a long time in the EVE Online universe. The Triglavians finally invaded earlier this year. Final Fantasy 16 producer Naoki Yoshida hopes the forthcoming game will “bring back anew the passion” players had in the series. His comment is taken from the Final Fantasy 35th anniversary Uniqlo magazine, which accompanies a new line of t-shirts celebrating the series. Final Fantasy fan and translator Aitai Kimochi shared a translation of Naoki’s comments on Twitter, as he noted the game is now in the final stages of development....
