Respawn boss Vince Zampella and The Sims exec Lyndsay Pearson have issued statements supporting the rights of women and transgender people, as EA continues to be pressured by employees to make a wider statement of its own. EA plans to launch “multiple” titles for the Nintendo Switch in 2020 (via Venture Beat). The news comes from the company’s conference call after the release of its Q4 fiscal year results. The Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment has been working hard to crack down on inappropriate names in the game. This includes the names of clubs. EA has updated its Online Service Shutdown page, detailing several of its titles losing online features in the near future. Cancelled Xbox One/PC game Fable Legends may be resurrected at an independent studio formed by ex-Lionhead employees, a new report has revealed. MCV claims to have spoken to three sources at the studio, which reveal that staff are currently “being surveyed as to whether they would like to continue working” on the cancelled game, “or just accept the redundancy package that has been put before them”.
