EA is getting the most out of its final FIFA-titled game: it includes two officially-licensed World Cups for the first time. FIFA 23 is of course EA’s final FIFA-titled football game. From next year’s game, EA will use the EA Sports FC title instead, ending a run of almost 30 years of EA-made FIFA games. EA confirmed FIFA 23 includes World Cup Qatar 2022, which kicks off this November, and the Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023, which starts in July 2023....

There was a time when Nintendo expressly forbade any religious elements from appearing in their games. The shapes of crosses were altered and names with religious overtones were changed, such as the Holy spell in Final Fantasy VI being called Pearl outside of Japan. The days of Nintendo’s heavy-handed censorship are long gone, as they have allowed a game called Fight of Gods to appear on the Nintendo Switch. Fight Of The Gods is a crossover fighting game where Jesus can fight other gods while wielding pieces of the cross that he was crucified on as weapons....

Remember that weird Neopets website from a few decades ago? Apparently, it’s still alive — and is absolutely thriving. Neopets is set to receive a mobile-friendly website later this year, a new set of merchandise, and a brand-new TV show. You’d be forgiven if you thought Neopets died at the turn of the century. Its website still looks incredibly old, and with so much competition from other gaming sites and mobile games, it’s hard to believe that it’s doing so well....

Disintegration, from developer V1 Interactive, promises a lot of thrills and combat by way of its gravcycles, as well as a story focusing on a combined human and cyborg resistance movement. It’s also slated for a June 16 launch. DNF Duel is the latest fighting game from Arc Systems Works, the people behind Guilty Gear, BlazBlue, and Dragon Ball FighterZ. The game is also being co-developed by Eighting, perhaps best known as the team behind one of the most beloved fighting games of all time, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Based on the insanely popular and long-running MMO Dungeon Fighter, the game is set to release in summer of 2022....

The team at DONTNOD Entertainment has confirmed they’re working on ‘a new Life is Strange game’, and have been since the release of the boxed version last year. That, however, is literally all the information we have, aside from the fact that they’ve really liked the fan response Life is Strange received. There is no confirmation on whether Max and Chloe will be returning, or whether it’ll be a new entry in the series with some similar themes (kind of how the American Horror Story TV show goes)....

A playable demo of DOOM will be available for one week only on PS4, Xbox One and PC, Bethesda has announced. The demo gives players the chance to try out the game’s opening mission and is available to download now on Xbox One. Techland has announced that it’ll take around 500 hours to fully complete its survival game, Dying Light 2. “To fully complete Dying Light 2 Stay Human, you’ll need at least 500 hours - almost as long as it would take to walk from Warsaw to Madrid!” the studio stated in a tweet. “Note: It’s about 100% completion rate, most of the players who are in for story and side quests will be able to complete the game quicker, it will still be a solid experience though!...

I am a huge Command and Conquer fan. I loved the series and had the pleasure of visiting Westwood Studios prior to EA getting involved and it was one of the highlights of my gaming career. Bethesda Game Studios is working on a ‘Bleeding-Edge AAA freemium’ game, according to a recent job listing on the ZeniMax website. To achieve this aim, they are specifically looking for a Game Performance Manager. ZeniMax is Bethesda’s parent company. Publisher Curve Digital and developer Muse Games have announced multiplayer firefighting game Embr will launch on September 23. In case you missed the original reveal, the game takes place in a world where have-a-go heroes can be summoned to fight fires via an app called Embr. As one of these wannabe firefighters, you can go solo or team up with friends to take on missions involving fighting fires and “rescuing” civilians....

One of the big constants in Marvel has always been the endless rivalry between the Skrulls and the Kree. Back in the ‘70s, we got the classic Avengers story, The Kree-Skrull War out of the two alien forces going to war with each other with Earth’s fate in the balance.
