Players are struggling to get Dying Light‘s Nintendo Switch version from the Nintendo eShop, despite the game’s launch this week. The revelation came to light as members of the game’s subreddit made posts saying they couldn’t find the game. Their questions were answered by an official post from a Techland representative (as spotted by Eurogamer). They revealed that Dying Light has been banned from sale in Germany, where the Nintendo eShop’s European arm is based....

The Epic Game Store has no plans to change its current policy of allowing NFT games, company boss Tim Sweeney has said, in comments which follow Minecraft maker Mojang’s anti-NFT statement earlier this week. Speaking on Twitter, Sweeney re-iterated Epic’s previous stance that the company would not block games that include NFTs based on that issue alone. “Developers should be free to decide how to build their games, and you are free to decide whether to play them,” Sweeney wrote, “I believe stores and operating system makers shouldn’t interfere by forcing their views onto others....

DC Studios has released a video that showcases co-CEO James Gunn talking about a huge variety of movies and TV shows coming to the DCU in the next few years. Instead of using phases like the MCU does, Gunn and his co-CEO of DC Studios, Peter Safran, are seemingly using Chapters as their labels for the different phases. Anime fans can rejoice because a Fairy Tail RPG has just been revealed by Koei Tecmo. The company is bringing Hiro Mashima’s magical manga to life on PC, Playstation 4, and Nintendo Switch with a JRPG adaptation. EA Sports has revealed the top performers who have made it in the latest FIFA 15 Ultimate Team of the Week. Final Fantasy XIV Director & Producer Naoki Yoshida is certainly one of the most popular developers in the world and a fan brought that admiration to the next level. A Reddit user named Rukongai announced that they had the chain to name an asteroid, so they decided to christen it “Yoshidanaoki” to pay homage to the developer. The claim is proven by the fact that the asteroid, which was discovered during a survey in 2006, appears in NASA’s database with its brand new name and a small blurb explaining who Naoki Yoshida is....

It looks like we’re getting Flashback 2, as announced earlier today. It’s been a while since we’ve seen Flashback pop up in recent times. The original game was released in 1992, with a re-release coming out on Steam in 2018. There was also a re-imagining of the game in 2013 that shook up various elements of the formula. While we’ve had plenty of versions of the game, we’ve never had a proper sequel until now....

Just in time for some weekend tactical tinkering, Football Manager 2018 has been updated to version 18.2.1. It’s a 115mb patch, which should apply itself automatically on Steam. Quit and restart Steam if you need to prompt it. Looks like this patch mostly addresses various crashes and freezes. The game freezing up during day-to-day processing is apparently fixed, as is a crash during match day after making tactical changes. Windows 32 systems should see improved graphics performance, and should no longer crash when launching the game....

During Ubisoft’s big press conference at 2018’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, we got a lot of For Honor-related news, with the Marching Fire DLC leading the charge. For Honor, starting today and until June 18, Ubisoft is giving away the starter-edition on Uplay. And that’s not like a free trial; once you download it, it’s yours. We also got a trailer for the game that had a weird slowed down bit at the start that showed a soldier take off her helment and walk through a paused battle....
