Elden Ring is continuing its strong reign. The latest figures from publisher Bandai Namco reveal that the fantasy epic has now topped 16.6m sales worldwide (thanks, Gematsu). This figure includes both digital and physical copies of the game. In May, Elden Ring had sold 13.4m copies since its launch towards the start of the year. Compile Hear revealed several brand new trailers of its upcoming JRPG Fairy Fencer F: Refrain Chord. First of all, we get two trailers introducing four members of the cast, Efol, Karin, Rinne, and Renne. Another trailer shows the “Dramatic Resonance” mechanic. It’s a positional element where the songs of the opposing divas overlap and in which both the buffs created by the friendly diva and the debuffs created by the enemy diva are doubled in effect....

Updates from Koei Tecmo regarding the in-development Fairy Tail RPG continue to be shared month to month. Recently, Koei Tecmo shared details about the game’s length - approximately 30 hours - and guild progression but now the studio has revealed 5 more playable characters and the game’s Japanese release date. Fairy Tail could release worldwide on March 19, 2020, but will definitely be available in Japan on that release date....

Fall Guys Season 2 promises much medieval-themed mayhem, with new stages, new rounds, and new skins. It will “ bring the dragon fire with feudal fortresses, knockout knights and pugilistic paladins among new additions coming this October.” Fall Guys is a very wholesome battle royale, and I’d love to see it through Season 2, 3, 4, and whatever number comes after that. In light of the Queen’s passing, the team behind the upcoming Fallout: London mod for Fallout 4 has chosen to remove her ’likeness’, and that of King Charles’, from development. In a new progress video for the mod, project lead Dean Carter stated: “We have always maintained that if [The Queen] was to pass away before the mod was complete, we would change it. UPDATE 25/01/22: Square Enix has now opened the Oceania data centre for players in that region. As reported below, a number of new data centres are due to open this year to ease congestion in the game. The data centre has added five new worlds and the Home World Transfer Service will open on 26th January for players to move their existing characters across for free. Both newly created and transferred characters will receive double EXP up to level 80....

If the details on Final Fantasy XIV‘s forthcoming patch 5.3 don’t interest you, then I can only assume that’s because you don’t play the utterly superb MMO. And you know what? That’s okay, because the free trial is being heavily reworked. Soon you’ll have far less of an excuse. Patch 5.3 (launching on August 11th) will heavily expand the free trial. Instead of gating you to level 35, free players will be able to go all the way up to level 60, right the way through the A Realm Reborn and Heavensward content....

Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker dropped onto Early Access last Friday, and this has predictably excited quite a few fans. Well before the expansion’s official release on December 7, scores of fans logged into the Final Fantasy XIV servers to try Endwalker early, with some queues reaching well above 5,000 players. But as it turns out, this massive collective hype surrounding Endwalker has a major downside, as players have found themselves waiting through extremely long queue times, with many of them ending up booted out of the queues outright....

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD owners will be able to download and play the demo of Final Fantasy XV the same day the game goes on sale on March 20, Square Enix has confirmed. As previously announced, access to Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae will be included with all physical ‘day one’ editions of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and with digital versions “for a limited time”. The code included inside the game’s box will be redeemable until March 20, 2016....
