Today Bethesda introduced a new subscription service to Fallout 76. It’s named Fallout 1st and it’s already available for Fallout 76 players to purchase for either $12.99 per month or $99.99 upfront for a full year. Subscribing to Fallout 1st will grant Fallout 76 players access to a variety of benefits, several of which have been long-requested by players. That Bethesda is charging extra for these features is certain to be controversial, but they’re available nevertheless....

If Bethesda was planning to bring all of the Fallout series to consoles as well as PC, it seems likely that it would have made such an announcement during its E3 2019 press conference. Instead Bethesda’s E3 2019 press conference focused on new content coming to Fallout 76, and it didn’t make much mention of any classic Fallout games. Interestingly enough, Fallout 76 is seemingly the only Fallout game not included in the Fallout Legacy Collection....

Far Cry 6 is set in the fictional island of Yara, which will not be a “simple black-and-white world” for its more complex themes to play out. Narrative director Navid Khavari revealed the island’s inspirations and influences in an interview published by Ubisoft. “It was clear that a lot of our fans were excited to go back to a tropical setting,” admitted Khavari. “We wanted to tell a story about revolution, and when you tell a story about revolution, you’re talking about guerrilla warfare....

Disney Infinity 3.0 will release in the UK on August 28 on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U, Disney has announced. The game will be available to purchase in a Starter Pack containing a Disney Infinity base, Star Wars: Twilight of the Republic Playset and two physical characters, or, if you already own a compatible base, as a cheaper software-only upgrade. Bioware has offered fans an official update on the progress of Dragon Age 4 in a new blog post. The game update from studio general manager Gary McKay explained the game’s current situation as being “right in the middle of production”. Just in time for E3 2011, Techland and Deep Silver – the folks behind the upcoming tropical zombie survival fest, Dead Island – delivered a one-two punch of news today. Firstly, they released a new trailer, entitled “Part 2: Dead Island Begins,” and they also officially announced the game’s release date. EA says the next Dragon Age game is targeting a 2022 release at the very earliest, as discussed in its Q2 2020 earnings call with its investors.
