Among the large roster of combatants that have accumulated over the years in the Mortal Kombat series, the particularly lethal Shokan warrior, Sheeva, has been absent as a playable character for far too long. Sheeva first appeared as a playable character in Mortal Kombat 3 and was distinct from most other fighters in that her corpse sprite included her four arms, and her blood was green when exposed, as opposed to red like most other fighters....

Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked, the second expansion to the hit indie title Don’t Starve, will launch via Steam Early Access on December 1, Klei and expansion developer Capybara Games have announced. In Shipwrecked, Wilson and the whole Don’t Starve cast of characters embark on a sea-bound journey of exploration, adaptation and of course, starvation. To play Shipwrecked you only need the core game and don’t also need to own Reign of Giants....

Despite its unfortunate delay late last year, Doom Eternal is finally set to hit shelves in just over a week’s time. Recent trailers and gameplay videos have indicated that the explosive, gloriously over the top, demon-slaying shooter will definitely be worth the wait as well, with each clip of gameplay showing that the sequel is somehow even more gloriously brutal than its 2016 predecessor. Yet, it seems there will be a few new additions to this highly-anticipated sequel, including far more customization options than ever before....

Block building RPG spin-off Dragon Quest Builders 2 is heading to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S next week, according to a Microsoft Store lising that’s appeared over the weekend. The listing itself (as spotted by Gematsu) says that the Xbox version of the game will come bundled with all the DLC from the original PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch version that launched back in 2019, and the game will also be available via Xbox Game Pass on console to boot....

Adventurer’s League, the official outlet for seasonal Dungeons & Dragons, is having its annual Halloween event. Technically it’s the in-universe Liar’s Night, but it’s essentially Halloween. Players collect candy by completing sessions, defeating wandering monsters, and by dressing up in costume. They can then trade that candy to a sugar-obsessed NPC for all kinds of treats. Treats that happen to have all kinds of tricks to them. For those who are new to the scene and don’t know, Adventurer’s League is the official network of Dungeons & Dragons play....

Polish studio Techland has announced it’ll be showing off fifteen minutes of gameplay from the upcoming Dying Light 2: Stay Human next week. The broadcast will be the fifth episode of its ongoing Dying 2 Know series and will take place next Thursday at 8pm UK time. Jonah Scott, voice of main character Aiden Caldwell will host the show alongside popular British Twitch streamer and host Leah. We’re promised fifteen minutes of new gameplay from the open world zombie shooter....

Techland is celebrating Dying Light’s fifth anniversary with a new bundle, new difficulty mode, and four weeks of community challenges (via Push Square). The anniversary bundle contains a new buggy paint job, a new outfit, a sledgehammer, a pipe which increases damage after three or more successful hits by 50 per cent, and a double-barreled shotgun that deals bonus damage and bullet speed, with a 50 per cent increase in reload speed and the ability to shoot both shells at once....

Dying Light is five years old this year and to celebrate, it will be free to play on Steam the whole weekend. There will also be new updates that will drastically change its gameplay, as well as local and global events. With Dying Light 2 around the corner, publisher Techland is going all out to celebrate the game’s fifth anniversary. Not only is it allowing gamers to play the game for free over the weekend, but it has also released a fifth Anniversary Bundle containing loads of goodies, including new weapons, a new outfit, and the new Story Mode....

E3 2017 will take place between Tuesday, June 13 and Thursday, June 15, the ESA has confirmed. The dates were revealed on a sign displayed at this year’s show, as snapped by IGN. Confirmation means that the show will run during the same week as this year’s event, which closed its doors yesterday. Before then, though, we’ve got this year’s Gamescom to look forward to, which kicks off on August 17, as well as October’s Paris Games Week and – presumably – another PlayStation Experience this December....

EA responded to concerns raised by the community over the progression system in Star Wars Battlefront 2. Over the weekend there has been a lot of discussion within the Star Wars Battlefront 2 community over the progressions system and unlocks. This alarm was raised when the Origin Access version went live and players starting working out how long it would take to unlock a single hero with credits alone. The number was a staggering 40 hours of gameplay....

Finding the Three Fingers location in Elden Ring is one of those things that’s really hard to do without knowing exactly where you’re going. The legendary figure is alluded to by multiple NPCs, and even by some of the story trailers, but actually making your way to them is very tricky. As the Three Fingers are an essential component of Elden Ring’s Lord of the Frenzied Flame ending, and one of the most mysterious figures in the game, they are well worth tracking down....

Epic Games is currently being sued over multiple security vulnerabilities that enabled hackers to access the personal information of Epic Games account holders (via Polygon). In January, a bug in Fortnite was reported to expose the personal details of millions of player accounts. It allowed a hacker to take over the account of any game player, view sensitive information, purchase V-bucks, and listen to and record players’ in-game and background home conversations....

There’s only a few more days left in 2019 which means there are only a few days left in Epic’s free game giveaway. As rumored yesterday, Heart Machine’s 2016 hit Hyper Light Drifter is now available for grabs from the Epic Games Store. Much like Celeste, this is a repeat title from earlier in the year. Escape from Tarkov, the exciting multiplayer extraction title from Battlestate Games, is back and they’re giving away various types of in-game loot through a collaboration with Twitch. Players who are looking to acquire easy loot will be able to do so for a limited time by simply tuning in to the broadcasts on the official Battlestate Games channel. Capcom has released a new trailer for upcoming co-op dinosaur sci-fi shooter Exoprimal. The trailer focuses on the game’s dinosaur foes, including velociraptors, flying Pteranodons, T-Rexes and more. But as any evil genetic-messing AI (or questionable theme park owner) will tell you, vanilla dinosaurs aren’t quite deadly enough. To that end, you’ll also face off against enhanced beasts, spliced with various abilities to give them unique skills in combat. These include the Neosaurs, which come in a variety of flavours....
