Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, the open-world action-RPG from Bandai Namco, continues to reveal its lofty aspirations. The game covers a broad swathe of the Dragon Ball Z universe and story, revealing more content and characters week-to-week. A new leak from the latest V Jump manga magazine has even more new information for Dragon Ball Z fans. Three new support characters will be joining the Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot roster, as Bandai Namco starts sharing details for the game’s Buu Saga storyline....

UPDATE: An image of the game has now been uploaded to the PlayStation Blog Flickr account, too, pointing towards an official announcement later today. ORIGINAL STORY: An unannounced PS4 game called ‘DriveClub Bikes’ has leaked ahead of Sony’s Paris Games Week press conference later today. The title, which was spotted by Gematsu.com, was rated by European certifications board PEGI earlier this morning, although it isn’t yet clear whether the game is a brand new standalone title or an expansion pack for last year’s racer....

The worlds and environments of games seem to be getting increasingly bigger and more detailed over time, with Red Dead Redemption 2, for example, having one of the biggest open worlds in recent memory. Dying Light 2 creative director Tymon Smektala shared his thoughts on this subject approaching the release of the highly-anticipated sequel to 2015’s Dying Light. In an interview with Xbox: The Official Magazine, ahead of Dying Light 2’s 2020 release, developer Techland’s Tymon Smektala expressed his perspective on the size of worlds in video games, saying that he’s uncertain about whether game worlds will get bigger....

Today Techland announced via press release that a new team is being assembled to work on a fantasy AAA open-world action RPG. Interestingly, at the helm of this new project, we find CD Projekt RED veterans who have worked on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and more. The press release included the first artwork of the game, which you can see above, and a comment from Techland CEO Paweł Marchewka, who also promised that support for Dying Light 2 Stay Human will continue for at least five years....

Season 8 of the Esports Championship Series began yesterday, showing some of the best North American and European CS:GO teams in action. This marks the beginning of week one of the online season, which will eventually culminate in a LAN finals. The first day of matches was disrupted after a bomb threat took over Santa Monica, California, where the ECS studio resides. The North American games were well underway yesterday evening, as Team Liquid and eUnited took their series to a third map....

She went on win 13 Grammys, sell more than 40 million albums and be proclaimed “The First Lady of Jazz.” Eagle Rock Entertainment will present Ella Fitzgerald: Just One of Those Things this spring. Directed by Leslie Woodhead along with producer Reggie Nadelson, the film will be screened in select cinemas beginning April 3....

With the Fortnite World Cup 2019, information about the upcoming Fortnite tournament wasn’t made available until the end of February. So potential competitors for the 2020 championship expected something similar this year, but February passed with no news from Epic Games about the upcoming World Cup or any other Fortnite competition. Finally, the company has provided an explanation for the delay. In a recent Twitter post, Epic stated that it is working to address performance issues with Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 that have been impacting both clients and servers....

This was the big one! In this most curious of not-E3 weeks, Microsoft (and Bethesda) showed up with an old-fashioned E3-style showcase event, packed with gameplay videos for titles all out over the course of the next 12 months. Most are due out day one on Game Pass. Highlights included our first look at Starfield gameplay, the mysterious Cocoon, the weird High On Life and Obsidian’s new narrative adventure, Pentiment. Oh, and there was the small matter of Hideo Kojima making an Xbox exclusive....

In an interview with Bit-Tech, Peter Molyneux had some interesting things to say about his upcoming game Fable 3. He mentions how we’ll initially be given, “the first big episodes,” and then we’ll, “be able to download new episodes.” It’s hard not to have seen this coming after Fable 2 was re-released in an episodic manner. Fall Guys has gotten a new gameplay trailer to mark its Free For All launch which takes place today. In case you need a brief catch up, today sees the game go free-to-play with a major overhaul to boot. Not only are there a bunch of new modes, new cosmetics & much more, but the game’s also arrived on some new formats too. Finally, Nintendo Switch and Xbox console players can join in the fun, with cross-platform support to boot....

The Fallout 76 beta has hit a nasty stumbling block, after users encountered a troublesome bug that deletes the entire 50GB client. Bethesda has said it’s aware of the problem, and has now extended the beta as a result. Players now get an extra four hours in Fallout 76’s post-apocalyptic open world tomorrow, with the beta running 8.00pm GMT on November 1 – 1.00am on November 2. Bethesda’s initial post warned players ’not to click any buttons on the client for the time being,’ and later said that if you saw the progress bar on screen, simply allow it to continue redownloading the client....

Not every video game is perfect. Sure, a video game may have excellent graphics, an incredible story, and gameplay elements, but if there are bugs and glitches present, those can easily ruin the experience. Some may be very insignificant, only causing a minor hiccup. However, there can also be those that can destroy progress or cause major problems that can affect the entire game (or worse, the save data). Bethesda is well-known for its incredible and unique open-world games like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 3, but it’s no secret that almost all of those games suffer from a tremendous amount of glitches and game-breaking bugs....

Final Fantasy VII’s lead character Cloud Strife is to be released as a playable DLC character in Super Smash Bros for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo has announced. Cloud will be a joined by a new stage themed around Midgar, the main location of Final Fantasy VII, although a price and release date for either piece of DLC has yet to be announced. For something with “Final” in its name, Attack on Titan: The Final Season has certainly been sticking around longer than expected. Initially kicking off back in 2020, the climactic conclusion to the hit series has been pacing itself to a pretty substantial degree. To be sure, certain moments have received the attention and high-budget animation they deserve — with Eren’s master plan being unveiled, Levi’s near death, and Floch’s rise and fall ranking among the best — but overall the series has slowed to a crawl in terms of output, chopping itself up into more and more parts to prolong its run....
