Space sim Elite Dangerous has unleashed its latest free update upon players, with Chapter Two of Season Three entitled Beyond now available to download on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game. The update adds two new ships, new Wing Missions and new planetary sites to the game, as well as ’new high threat USS’s’ and missions thatcan direct players to them. On top of all this are as a host of other community-requested fixes and tweaks too numerous to list here, but you can check out the complete list of fixes on the Frontier forums....

The Epic Games Store now offers new features, like self-service refunds, additional currencies, and keyless integration with other retailers (via PC Gamer). With self-service refunds, the customer no longer needs to contact Epic Games for support. Ever since developer Dotemu teased DLC for Streets of Rage 4 last year, fans have been wondering what might be included. Will it be a new character? More gameplay modes? Additional weapons? The F-Zero series is finally headed to the Switch - at least, the N64’s F-Zero X is. It’s the next game to arrive on the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion, following Majora’s Mask last month. Meridiem Games has announced that the previously delayed Fahrenheit: 15th Anniversary Edition will finally release for PlayStation 4 in boxed form on January 26. The special anniversary edition of the game—which was delayed from its original December release due to “last minute manufacturing reasons— will also bundle in a specially created case and sleeve, a sticker set, an artbook and a thank you letter written by developers Quantic Dream. From Detroit: Become Human and Heavy Rain Director David Cage, Fahrenheit (Also known as Indigo Prophecy) sees you playing as three characters across its story, including Lucas Kane who comes to after seemingly murdering a man in a public restroom having no memory of doing the deed....

The hashtag #DelaySonicFrontiers has been trending following the game’s first gameplay reveal. First unveiled at the end of last year, fans have been desperate to see gameplay of Sonic Frontiers ever since. Two videos have now been released exclusively to IGN, showcasing the game’s open world design and its combat. But so far fans are unhappy with the direction of the game and - just as with Sonic’s redesign for the film series - are calling for a delay....

UPDATE: EA’s servers are coming back online after an outage that lasted roughly two hours. Players are now able to log into Ultimate Team. ORIGINAL STORY: FIFA 23 officially launched its early access period today for those who bought the Ultimate Edition, and already the servers have gone down. At the time of publication, Ultimate Team was unplayable on both PlayStation and Xbox. FIFA 23 doesn’t launch proper until this Friday, 30th September, and its early access wasn’t meant to begin until 4pm this afternoon, but the 10-hour EA Play trial was made available a day early, meaning FIFA 23’s effective launch was yesterday, 26th September....

The next Final Fantasy game to receive a remaster is Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and it has now been revealed that the game has been delayed until January 2020. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles was originally released for the Nintendo GameCube in 2004, which was seen as a landmark event, as it was the first Final Fantasy game to be released on a Nintendo system since Squaresoft jumped ship to Sony at the start of the 32-bit era....

In a returning sort-of-event from Destiny, Destiny 2 is going to have the occasional bounty hunt. The first Bungie Bounty will challenge to community to hunt down Gigz, a twitch streamer, for the chance to win some sweet, sweet loot. The hunt, which will be for a couple of hours, will be running on the PS4 version of the game, and will start at 8pm PST. This means that UK players who want to get involved will need to be up at the crack of 4am tomorrow morning, so good luck with that....

Football Manager 2016 has now sold one million copies, Sports Interactive boss Miles Jacobson has revealed. Last year, former Bioware developer and general manager Casey Hudson announced the formation of his new independent studio, dubbed Humanoid Studios. He intended the studio to function as a safe working environment where creative ideas can flourish and an “all-new IP” can be developed. At the time, Hudson did not reveal any concrete information about this new IP, only saying that he considers it “something awesome.” Although he remains tight-lipped on the project, the official Humanoid Studios website does contain a brief description regarding the basic idea behind its first game....
