It’s still surprising to me that id Software decided to completely do away with standard multiplayer modes for Doom Eternal, but here we are. Battlemode definitely makes for an interesting game mode but I’m not sure if it makes for the replacement anyone may have been hoping for. First it giveth Doom 2016 was widely praised for very good reasons. It’s a speedy, furious action game with great levels and a ton of worthwhile action....

Turns out, Piccolo isn’t all that powerful after all, at least according to Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot canon, and people are not happy about it. According to the in-game encyclopedia, “Similar to how Master Roshi destroyed the moon when Goku transformed, Piccolo destroys the moon when Gohan transforms - or so it seems. In truth, Piccolo creates an illusion in which the moon only appears to be destroyed.” This has caused widespread confusion, because people can’t seem to figure out the reason for a retcon like this....

Techland has announced plans for another fresh batch of DLC for Dying Light to mark the recent third anniversary of the celebrated parkour-powered zombie romp. Content Drop #3 will feature a host of free goodies and will be accompanied by various other bits and bobs to celebrate this latest milestone. Aside from the freebies in the new DLC pack, Techland is also offering giveaways on Steam and Gemly, as well as a new community bounty named Undying Love, which appropriately enough coincides with Valentine’s Day....
Techland’s celebrated parkour-fused zombie romp Dying Light is marking its fourth birthday by dishing out double XP. In addition to rewarding you more XP for your zombie-slaying shenanigans, Techland also confirmed it will be running giveaways for unique in-game goodies, including the Rocket League-inspired buggy skin. If you haven’t played the game yet, Techland is offering 70% off the PC version of Dying Light via Steam until Monday. EA’s latest financial call touched on the hot topic of loot boxes and how EA was now approaching them following calls for regulation. With countries such as Belgium and the Netherlands calling for loot boxes to be classed as gambling, it could cause problems for the large publishers. Apex Legends is on its way to Switch and Steam, as announced in last night’s EA Play Live showcase. Apex Legends is out now for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Respawn Entertainment revealed that the game will hit the platforms in late 2020, and the versions will enjoy full crossplay with Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Origin, Steam, and Switch. In addition, A Way Out, Titanfall 2, Dead Space 3, The Sims 4, and Need for Speed Most Wanted have all been released onto Steam by EA, and are currently temporarily discounted....
