For Honor will release on February 14, 2017, Ubisoft has announced. Details on the historical war game’s single-player campaign were revealed at Ubisoft’s E3 press conference earlier today, confirming that players will get to play as a knight, Viking or samurai. “The memorable story campaign is a tale of warriors in which you will embody heroes of all three factions,” said Ubisoft. “Storming castles and fortresses, making the difference in massive battles, and confronting deadly bosses in intense duels, you will need all your wits and skills to ensure the survival of your people and foil the plans of the merciless and bloodthirsty warlord, Apollyon....

UPDATE 13/10/22: Disney Dreamlight Valley’s first major post-launch content update now has a release date: Wednesday, 19th October. Bethesda has announced that Doom Eternal’s Nintendo Switch port will be releasing next week, on December 8. Bethesda also advise anyone who made a pre-order at a retailer for a physical copy that hasn’t had their orders cancelled yet to contact their retailer for further instructions. Door Kickers 2’s entry into Steam Early Access was very appropriate, considering the style of the game. By that I mean, no one saw it coming. The real-time tactical combat sim was first announced way back in 2016. Since then, it’s been radio silence from KillHouse Games on the project. Then, when no one was expecting it, Door Kickers 2 charges into Steam Early Access guns blazing. Xbox and Electronic Arts have announced that the latter’s EA Play service will be made available through Xbox Game Pass from November 10. The move will see Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers automatically recieve a subscription to EA Play for no additional cost, opening up the entire library of games on EA Play service available to download and play just in time for the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X launch....

EA has secured a multi-title deal with Illumination Entertainment and Universal Partnerships & Licensing to bring the Minions and other characters from upcoming Illumination films to life. The first game, Minions Paradise, is set to launch worldwide on mobile this summer, and allows players to create their own tropical Minion utopia and take control of a never-before-seen Minion named Phil. “Phil leads the Minions to create the world of their dreams after finding themselves shipwrecked on a tropical island,” reads the game’s blurb....

Elden Ring is a brand new action-RPG developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco, and it’s just been released for PC and consoles. The game also features a large open-world called the Lands Between, with tons of optional dungeons to discover and bosses to fight. The NFC Reader/Writer accessory for Nintendo 3DS and 2DS will launch in the UK on October 2, Nintendo has announced. The device will enable older 3DS and 2DS systems to be compatible with amiibo figures and the new Series 1 Animal Crossing amiibo Cards Packs, which also launch on October 2 alongside Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. With only £49,000 of its £250,000 funding target raised for Fable Fortune, Flaming Fowl Studios has announced it will begin sending alpha builds of the game to all £100 or greater backers as soon as today. An update on the Kickstarter blog revealed the team realises it must begin to grow the campaign in order to succeed. “We need to grow if we are going to succeed,” reads the update. “We need more CCG gamers to get involved by playing our game or watching streams and see for themselves what Fable Fortune is bringing to the table....

I’ve played my fair share of anime games and most are of similar quality. I usually enjoy them because of my personal tastes but struggle to recommend them to others. Far Cry 4’s Valley of the Yetis DLC will launch on March 10, Ubisoft has announced. The DLC rejoins Ajay Ghale following a helicopter crash high in the Himalayas, tasking the player with securing, upgrading and protecting a camp from a group of violent cultists who are searching for the Valley’s hidden secret. Once captured, the camp will act as a safe house which players are able to fortify by completing side quests during the day, and protect from attackers at night....
