The Walt Disney Company has opted to suspend production on all films, be they shooting across the Atlantic Ocean or simply in pre-production in California. The delay comes on the heels of international upheaval in the film industry during the escalating coronavirus pandemic. Among the biggest delays is director Rob Marshall’s highly anticipated remake of The Little Mermaid. The film, which was apparently nine days away from filming, stars Halle Bailey as one of Disney’s most popular princesses, the aquatic Ariel, as well as Melissa McCarthy as the dastardly Ursula the Sea Witch....

It was a long and winding road, but the Tokyo Revengers series has finally reached its conclusion. It’s always a bit of a risk to make a modern game with a 1-bit aesthetic. Nostalgia for that era can be more than effective for some, but I never owned a 1-bit machine. To the retro-focused games made in that likeness don’t tend to do much for me visually. Deep Silver has put out a statement saying that it won’t be showing off any news from several of its most well known franchises at E3 this year, despite a much-hyped Primetime stream from its parent company Koch Media scheduled to take place during the Summer Games Fest on June 11. The tweet on the publisher’s Twitter account reads “To give you a heads up, you won’t see Dead Island, Saints Row, Metro or TimeSplitters there (or at any other E3 2021 event)....

Today, developer id Software announced that Doom Eternal has been delayed into 2020. The sequel to 2016’s Doom reboot of the legendary shooter franchise was originally scheduled for a November 22 release on PC, Stadia, and consoles, but now, the new release date is March 20, 2020. For many, Doom Eternal was one of most anticipated games of fall 2019. The game appears to be expanding upon the core 2016 Doom in many exciting ways, adding new weapons, new abilities, new enemies, new game modes, and traversal elements that jack up the pace of play to ludicrous speeds....

Flashy scrapper Dragon Ball FighterZ will receive a free update tomorrow featuring a co-op mode, Bandai Namco Games has announced. Party Battle will allow three players to buddy up and get into a punch-up with various bosses, while FighterZ Cup offers the chance to earn points for your Z-Union by competing in battles across a monthly competition. Bamco is expected to reveal more details on this at a later date....

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has some new DLC on the way, as revealed by Bandai Namco Entertainment, and it ought to excite Dragon Ball fans. The update will come in two parts and includes characters and transformations from Dragon Ball Super. The creator of Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age has confirmed that the Nintendo Switch version is being developed using Unreal Engine 4. This could mean that Dragon Quest XI will be a port of the PlayStation 4 version of the game. This revelation was confirmed by the series creator Yuji Horii who was speaking at the Epic Games Japan’s Unreal Fest East at the weekend. According to a few Twitter users who’d attended the event, Horii has confirmed that Dragon Quest XI on the Switch is being developed on Unreal Engine 4, which is the same engine used for the PS4 game....

Midway’s 80’s arcade game Rampage looks set for the movie treatment with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to star, reports Deadline. Set to begin production in summer 2016, the plot is under wraps but the game sees a giant gorilla, giant lizard and a giant wolf wreaking havoc across a host of major cities and landmarks across the US. Presumably Johnson will be tasked with saving everyone from the monsters. Johnson is re-teaming with New Line and producer Beau Flynn for the project, who recently worked together on San Andreas to the successful tune of $415 million in global boxoffice receipts....

Unlike most of the bosses that have one health bar for both phases, he has two health bars for both his forms.
