When Epic Games Store launched late last year, the online game store revealed that it will be offering players free games each week. Final Fantasy 14 players caught using mods have been sent to in-game jail. As spotted by Kotaku, at least two players who were streaming the game were put into jail by moderators. It follows a lengthy blog post from game director and producer Naoki Yoshida earlier this week, stating that players caught using third-party tools would be reprimanded. “Players who are determined to be using third-party tools will have their accounts suspended, or permanently banned for repeat offenses,” said Yoshida....

Today Square Enix hosted the 71st Final Fantasy XIV Letter From the Producer Live broadcast, focusing on upcoming update 6.2. Today Square Enix released a new gallery of screenshots of the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV update 6.2, titled “Buried Memory.” We start with the much-anticipated “Island Sanctuary” feature, which provides players with a whole island to nurture, cultivate, and build-up, with its own separate gathering and crafting systems and rewards. Assassin’s Creed and For Honor are crossing over in a new event titled For the Creed, developer Ubisoft has announced. The event is live now and will run until January 10, 2019 across PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One platforms, and offers a spin on For Honor’s 4v4 Domination mode known as Assassini e Templari. Dragon Ball has a long history in gaming, as countless games based on the popular anime have been released. Some have been fighters, others RPGs, and there has also been the occasional beat ’em up. While there has been a range in genres, there’s also been a range in quality, with not every Dragon Ball game living up to the excellence of the shows.
