The Electronic Software Association has reaffirmed its commitment to return to the gaming events calendar with E3 in 2023. Speaking to the Washington Post, president and CEO Stan Pierre-Louis restated the organisation’s intentions, despite cancelling this year’s show. “We’re excited about coming back in 2023 with both a digital and an in-person event. As much as we love these digital events, and as much as they reach people and we want that global reach, we also know that there’s a really strong desire for people to convene — to be able to connect in person and see each other and talk about what makes games great....

Love them or hate them, Electronic Arts has been responsible for a number of highly popular and critically acclaimed games over the years. What’s not to love about silly spin-offs to beloved franchises? Earth Defense Force: World Brothers aims to take EDF and turn it into a comedic voxel version of the mainline games. Bandai Namco has announced it’ll be broadcasting some gameplay of the much-anticipated Elden Ring tomorrow. As announced by the game’s official Twitter account, From Software will present fifteen minutes of new footage. While the company hasn’t given any clues as to what it’ll be showing, it’ll be the first major look at gameplay since the game appeared at the Summer Game Fest back in June. It’ll also be the first we’ve seen the game since it was announced it slipped into February last month....

The horror genre continues to evolve and grow, and an interesting new addition will come our way in 2022. Coming to PC, and consoles including the Nintendo Switch, Paper Cut Mansion is being developed by UK-based Space Lizard Studio and publisher Thunderful Games. Players will take on the role of police detective Toby in this horror roguelite set in a papercraft world. Arriving at a mysterious old mansion with a story to unravel, each floor will offer a different challenge, as will each run in the game....

Bethesda has outlined a number of changes that will follow Fallout 76’s launch as a result of feedback garnered from the recent beta. Chief among the biggest changes will be an increase in stash size, which will rise from a weight limit of 400 to an unspecified amount.
