The fans who were waiting for the next entry in the Dragon Quest Monsters series shouldn’t start holding their breath, as producer Taichi Inuzuka doesn’t seem hopeful that the game will be released anytime soon. The next Dragon Quest Monsters game was announced during a livestream in 2018, alongside a remake of Terry’s Wonderland for smartphones. All that was revealed about the next Dragon Quest Monsters game at the time was that it would star child versions of Erik and Mia from Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age and that it would be released for consoles....

Media Molecule’s latest title, Dreams, is looking to be the next gaming creation tool after the LittleBigPlanet trilogy. It allows players to create anything from first person shooters to Spongebob horror games. It also comes with a trophy list, including the “Sassy Kitty” trophy, which takes a bit of planning to unlock. The Sassy Kitty trophy is also an imp quest, or a playable mission, that players can complete to gain experience....

Dungeon Defenders: Awakened is the sequel to the massively successful Dungeon Defenders, a co-op tower defense with a little bit of action RPG thrown in the mix. Chromatic Games just announced the sequel will release in spring 2020 on PC, with a closed beta kicking off on November 22. To get into the closed beta, you’ll need to pre-order Dungeon Defenders: Awakened through the game’s official site. Pre-ordering will set you back $40, but you’ll get a bunch of other digital content on top of the closed beta access....

As part of the Microsoft Press Conference, Infinity Ward showed their first level for Modern Warfare 3 that demonstrated how the game plans to deliver that same Call of Duty experience, but on a grander scale. While the demo was compelling, seeing it amidst a ton of other announcements wasn’t exactly ideal. We got a live demo of the game featuring two levels in the game — one that was previously demoed during the Press Conference and a new level that was briefly teased in the game’s first trailer....

EA has announced that its EA Access service will be available on the PlayStation 4 from this July. The service has already been on Xbox and PC as Origin Access for some time, but has remained absent from Sony consoles until now. For a monthly fee (around $5 a month or $30 a year if the current Xbox price is to go by), customers can access a growing library of EA games including its biggest franchises like FIFAs, The Sims and Need for Speed....

Bethesda fully lifted the veil off of its next expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online today via a livestream that featured a mix of gameplay previews and developer commentary. The Gates of Oblivion will send players to some familiar places and explore others for the first time in modern memory. Or past memory, I suppose. Today, Codemasters unveiled the next adventure in its successful Formula 1 series. Confirmed for a July 16 release, F1 2021 promises to be the franchises’ transition into a true “next-gen experience.” The reveal trailer for F1 2021 has confirmed that several of the community’s wishes are set to become true. Most notably, the co-op career mode will finally be making its return. Having been absent from the F1 games for several years, this announcement is sure to get fans excited....

The Fall Guys Twitter account marked the release with a short video showcasing Godzilla stomping around the game’s obstacles. The video also leaked some obstacles players have never seen before. The Fall Guys Godzilla costume is an excellent ode to the iconic monster unlike poor Sonic the overweight Hedgehog that rolled into Fall Guys last month....

In a new blog post that went up this morning, the Fallout team revealed that it’s working on getting its Wastelanders update out to the public. In fact, it’s looking to start a closed playtest this week, asking for players to jump in and try it out....

Gamers aren’t best pleased over Infinity Ward’s decision to remove the popular ‘Realism" multiplayer mode from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. It’s quite safe to state that the new game has been a huge hit among fans, more so where it’s predecessor Black Ops 4 is concerned. But the devs appear to have shot themselves in the foot following their new update. The studio released the 1.06 patch for the game this week, adding “NVG” as a new playlist....

FIFA 23 is back and the game looks like a major upgrade on its predecessors. With the HyperMotion 2 Gaming Technology, FIFA comes quite close to real-world football. And this upgrade is not just in the sense of Graphics, the AI motion and movement, the upgrades in attacking, skills, dribbling, and defending can be seen quite clearly. This financial year EA expects to generate around $750 million from its digital business, the bulk of which comprises of full game downloads and DLC. It’s a figure which accounts for 20 per cent of the publisher’s total revenue and is expected to become increasingly important in the years ahead. Speaking at UBS’s 38th Annual Media and Communications Conference, EA CFO Eric Brown spoke of this change, highlighting the revenue generated by the publisher’s FIFA DLC....
