First episodes of Super Sentai shows can be tricky to pull off. There’s quite a lot to establish in the span of twenty minutes – not just the main cast, but also the arsenal, mecha, villains, motivations, themes, etc. How these annual reboots don’t come across as rush jobs is far beyond me to comprehend anymore. I just sit back, enjoy the fresh new sentai smell, and continue to be surprised at what new level of weirdness the show will take me to next....

EA’s Battlefield-inspired golf game PGA Tour has been delayed. The PS4 and Xbox One title had previously been due to arrive during EA’s current financial year, ending on March 31, 2015. However, it was absent from EA’s Q4 release schedule posted alongside its latest financial results earlier this evening. The publisher later confirmed that the game had been delayed into Q1 FY16, meaning it will now release between April and June 2015....

Developer FromSoftware and publisher Bandai Namco have treated Elden Ring players to a hefty update including alterations to several mechanics alongside a plethora of bug fixes. FIFA 17 is being built on EA’s Frostbite engine rather than EA Sports’ usual Ignite engine, according to a report by Game Informer. The outlet claims that all of EA’s major sports titles will be transitioned to Frostbite “over the course of the next few years”, with this year’s FIFA 17 set to lead the way. Madden NFL 17, NHL 17 and NBA Live 17 will still use Ignite, however, although each are “expected to convert in the near future”....
