The first original Final Fantasy for the Nintendo DS has been officially announced. Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light is Square Enix’s latest fantasy adventure, featuring the expected unique job and combat systems, an epic story, and cooperative multiplayer for up to four simultaneous players. Here’s Square’s introduction to the world of The 4 Heroes of Light: Of course, nothing like forcing a 14 year old child into the wilderness and forcing him to save a distraught princess from all of the world’s evil....

Final Fantasy VII Remake and its Intergrade DLC is coming to PC next week. Announced at The Game Awards on Thursday, it’ll come as an Epic Games Store exclusive on December 16, for $69.99. This news may not come as a complete surprise to anyone who’s been following the recent leaks and rumors. Particularly, the Nvidia GeForce NOW leak that made reference to several unreleased games and ports. Of course, the contents of that leak still remain mostly unconfirmed, and people should take it with a healthy dose of salt....

In Forever Skies you return to a ravaged Earth that looks to be relatively barren. You commandeer an airship that looks like a hyper futuristic blimp. And you can scavenge the ruined cities for materials that can be used for crafting. We also see a bolt of lightning hit one of the motors of your parked airship during the trailer. It starts glowing red and orange. But it looks like there’s a special type of gun you can use to cool down certain parts of your ship and prevent further damage....

It wasn’t long ago that Bethesda and id Software announced a delay for its follow-up to Doom (2016). The sequel, Doom Eternal, is now set for a March 20 release, which is less than two weeks away. It wasn’t until now, though, that the full hardware specs were revealed. The last set of screenshots for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot showed off Goku, Freeza, Cell, and the Dragon Balls. Today, though, Potential Unleashed Gohan (Ultimate Gohan) takes the spotlight. The character now has two new screenshots to his name. Ultimate Gohan is the second most powerful character of the Dragon Ball Z saga, only coming second to Vegito. This version of Gohan only fell in the Buu Saga because he let Super Buu’s absorption of Piccolo and Goten (his mentor and little brother) get under his skin....

Publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment has promised that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be the most in-depth telling of Goku’s story to date, but beyond the narrative, the game is an action RPG at its core. Players will be able to train multiple fighters, level them up, and do battle with some of the greatest Dragon Ball Z villains, all while managing their skill trees and soul emblems. While both of these have had musings in the past, a few concrete details have recently emerged about them....

Ubisoft has announced the Driver series is to make a comeback as a live-action TV show on a brand new streaming platform called Binge. As per the announcement, the series will be a collaboration between Ubisoft and Binge. Binge being “an upcoming streaming platform showcasing original series and shows created for gaming fans”. The Driver series will be among the first of the new platform’s offerings, which seemingly won’t require a subscription....

Dying Light: The Following, the upcoming campaign expansion to the hit open-world zombie action game, has received its first story teaser trailer, hinting at what’s in store for players. The Following takes place shortly after the final events of the original game as protagonist Kyle Crane and his group of survivors face both a new threat and new hope for salvation. Dying Light: The Following is scheduled to released February 9, 2016 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One....

It has been a very strange four months for the Techland developed Dead Island. The spellbinding trailer made waves all over the gaming world, and even expanded into the mainstream when a potential movie deal was announced. After building such huge expectations in terms of storytelling and presentation, we were initially a little worried considering the rather empty nature of the screenshots. Our fears were mostly quelled when Deep Silver showed off some extensive gameplay footage, detailing the combat system as well as the RPG elements in the game....

We’ve been eager to check out Hitman Absolution since IO Interactive announced its existence earlier this year. The fifth game in the series allegedly will make a marked departure from the previous titles in that the presentation style will be presented in a cinematic style. Ahead of its Play Live event, Electronic Arts (EA) will have four broadcasts scheduled through the month of July, called the EA Play Live Spotlight Series. They will cover the breadth of the publisher’s repertoire from shooters to sports games. The first of which will go over Apex Legends and the upcoming Battlefield 2042, with interview and discussions. The series will kick off in full a week from today. EA has kicked off the Origin holiday sale today offering some decent savings on EA games. This time EA has added Star Wars: Battlefront 2 to the sale and the most basic edition can be picked up for £32.99 saving 40% with the Trooper Deluxe Edition down to £41.99. Assuming they don’t revert back to the old microtransaction model it may be worth a look. FIFA 18 is also 04% off at £32....

EA has formally revealed the development team it’s got working on its next Skate game, dubbing the new Vancouver-based studio Full Circle. The head of the team is former Xbox Live boss Daniel McCulloch, who has been brought on as general manager, and former Skate creative leads Deran Chung and Cuz Parry have been brought back as key designers. In a statement provided to VentureBeat, McCulloch said: “The fans wished Skate back into existence, and we want them to feel involved in the process from development to game launch and beyond....

Mediatonic clearly adored its moment in the limelight last summer when Fall Guys took the gaming world by storm. The game is a blast to fool around in, but enthusiasm cooled off as players began to identify shortcomings in the game design and limited content options. The developers took notice of this and worked hard to scale up operations in response to the smash success of its jellybean royale.
