E3 2018 is here, and there are a ton of announcements pouring out. GIANTS Software is getting in on the action too, as the team is currently there showing off Farming Simulator 19. Even those of us at home get a treat too in the form of a sweet new CGI trailer. The production value of this trailer is way up there, but even more exciting is that it confirms that John Deere machinery is officially coming to Farming Simulator 19....

This Fear the Walking Dead review contains spoilers. Fear the Walking Dead Season 5 Episode 8 You’ve got to hand it to Fear the Walking Dead. Many viewers may not have liked this more optimistic, glass-half-full take on the zombie apocalypse (myself included), but showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Evan Goldberg were determined to put a more positive spin on a genre that generally seems to revel in its bleakness. Starting with last season’s “…I Lose Myself,” Fear injected the Walking Dead universe with a kind of unapologetic hopefulness that often crossed dangerously close into maudlin territory....

Electronic Arts has some good news for you soccer fans. Alright, fine, fútbol fans. But for clarity, and due to me being unapologetically American, I’m going to write it as soccer. Anyway, the demo for the upcoming FIFA 20 can now be downloaded. You can grab it off EA Origin for PC, nearly two weeks ahead of official launch. The demo should get your feet plenty warmed up before the release of the game....

EA Sports has released a new trailer for FIFA 22, showcasing the latest entry’s Volta Football mode and its new features. As detailed in a pitch note deep dive, the mode will include a new Skill Meter system. You’ll be able to fill up this meter by performing actions like fancy passes, wall passes, nutmegs and skill moves. The bar itself is broken up into three sections, and filling each one increases your goal multiplier....

Prior to its launch, there was speculation that Final Fantasy 8 would get a physical release. Unfortunately for fans hoping to own a physical copy of the critically-acclaimed JRPG, that didn’t actually come to pass. However, it looks like a physical version of Final Fantasy 8, packed in with a physical version of Final Fantasy 7, will be released on the Nintendo Switch later this year - with a catch....

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will soon be available for PC, Square Enix has announced. The game launched for PS4 and Xbox One on March 20 and offers an HD update of 2011 PSP action game Final Fantasy Type-0. The PC version will feature new graphical options for high-end PC users, improved camera and battle controls, and Steam community features. Final Fantasy 15 isn’t coming to PC so there’s also no sign of the Episode Duscae demo....

Patch 5.5 of Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers gives us the finale of the Sorrow of Werlyt questline. The Diamond Weapon, the last and strongest of the Weapon machina, is now ready for battle in the Cloud Deck. This is a Normal Raid, so it’s an eight-player battle. But it’s a bit different than usual, and not just because it doesn’t play Big Fat Tacos. The fight against the Diamond Weapon takes place in the skies and is split across a pair of platforms, which you’ll need to hop between to evade particular attacks....

A new physics-based 3D platformer is swimming over to Steam, and it’s called I Am Fish. The game was revealed a while back with a playable demo on Steam, but we’re finally getting some more news on I Am Fish and its waterlogged adventure, including a release date. I Am Fish will follow four fish friends after they’re forcibly separated from their home at a pet fish shop. Players must swim, fly, and roll their way through different environments, like city rooftops or downtown traffic....

19 year old Isabell Lewis of DeLand, Florida has been arrested by Volusia County Sheriff deputies after she allegedly shot at a house on October 30. Lewis was arrested on Thursday, November 7, and charged with missile into dwelling/vehicle/building/aircraft, aggravated stalking, and tampering with physical evidence. Deputies tracked Lewis to baseball fields after they established probable cause. As reported by The Daytona Beach News-Journal, Lewis allegedly got into an Xbox Live argument with three friends over $40 and “text messages with name calling....

In recent years, French developer and publisher Dotemu has really made a name for itself. It has published several games that hail from beloved retro IPs, such as Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap. Most recently, Dotemu published the critically acclaimed Streets of Rage 4, a loving tribute to the classic ’90s beat-em-up franchise that revamped combat mechanics in some seriously fun ways. Another French publisher by the name of Focus Home Interactive clearly saw potential in this studio, as it just announced that it now owns 77....

A video said to showcase gameplay footage from a new Tencent-developed Need for Speed mobile game has leaked online. Need for Speed Mobile, as per a series of job listings spotted earlier this year, currently appears to be in development at Tencent’s Timi Studio, which has also worked on the enormously popular Call of Duty Mobile and Pokémon Unite. EA is yet to officially unveil a new Need for Speed mobile project, however, meaning the leaked footage - shared on the Need for Speed subreddit earlier today - is the first opportunity many will have had to see the game in action....

RAD, the upcoming top down brawling rougelike, has been given a release date of August 20 by publisher Bandai Namco. Coming from developer Double Fine productions, RAD sees you dive into a radioactive wasteland, where they’ll be able to grab power ups that mutate their bodys in order to help them survive the stages, in what looks to be a cross between Bastion and Kid Chamelon with distinctly 80s stylings to the game....

Even though the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Warzone battle royale mode has not been officially announced, its existence was leaked weeks ago. Since they’ve already known about it for quite some time, fans have grown impatient, as it’s still not clear when the mode will be added to the game. Right now, the prevailing theory is that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Warzone battle royale mode is Tuesday, March 10, and someone adding to that speculation is popular Twitch streamer Dr DisRespect....

Dragon Ball Z Kakarot grows more and more interesting by the day. The oddball action-RPG will serve as a broad retelling of the Dragon Ball Z saga. While questions remain regarding just how expansive it will be, there are hints it will be extremely so. For one, the game will feature the Dragon Ball Z anime filler episode where both Goku and Piccolo attempt to earn their driver licenses. Apparently, that’s only the start of it....

The Dragon Quest series has always been one that lends itself perfectly to spin-offs and offshoot titles. Host to decades’ worth of iconic monster designs, lovable characters, and imaginative fantasy worlds, there’s no shortage of material for developers to work with. This made the announcement of Dragon Quest Treasures, a prequel spin-off of Dragon Quest XI, set up for at least a certain level of success among fans. And yet, after playing through the first few hours of the title, I’m pleasantly surprised to report that the game is even more than that....

Two new Nintendo 3DS themes based on SEGA’s Dreamcast and Saturn consoles are heading to Europe later this week, Nintendo has announced. Available from the 3DS Theme Shop this Friday, February 19, the two themes feature sounds and images inspired by the two systems to give your handheld a classic console-themed makeover. The themes were previously only available in North America and Japan, and will be available alongside a third ‘Hi-Tech SEGA’ theme inspired by a late 80s Japanese arcade....

Media Molecule has revealed that the early access period for Dreams is “nearing an end,’’ insinuating that its launch isn’t too far away (via PlayStation Blog). The IMPY Awards is the first celebration event for the free-form sandbox game engine. “We’ve been so impressed by everything our incredible Early Access players have done. We’ve watched people grow into fully-fledged artists, designers, musicians and more. There have been creations we didn’t think possible (and some we’re still convinced are magic),” said Abbie Heppe, communications manager for Media Molecule....
