Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach has unfortunately received another delay. Series creator Scott Cawthon announced yesterday that upcoming installment in the animatronic horror series will now (hopefully) release in the second half of 2021. The news was certainly disappointing to fans, but it wasn’t all bad. Cawthon made up for the lack of Security Breach by giving fans a free Five Nights at Freddy‘s brawler. “As you all know, Security Breach was originally planned to come out at the end of 2020, but as we kept working on it and kept adding to it, it just kept getting bigger and bigger and needed more time to finish,” Cawthon said in the Reddit post....

Valve is unlikely to soup up the graphical prowess of its Steam Deck in time for the PC gaming handheld’s second generation, the company has indicated. Instead, the next version of Steam Deck is far more likely to see hardware improvements centered around its screen and battery capacity. Speaking to The Verge, Steam Deck engineers suggested Valve was keen to stick with one singal performance point for the handheld for the time being - it’s simple to understand Steam Deck verified status - to avoid muddying the waters....

Since the announcement of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, Bandai Namco’s upcoming RPG has been met with widespread acclaim. Long have fans waited for a proper action RPG set in the Dragon Ball universe as the last decade, despite being well-received, has been filled with nothing but fighting games from the Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 to Dragon Ball FighterZ. Based on everything we know about Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, it looks like fans won’t have to wait much longer....

Piccolo has some seriously good footwork in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. Although, it might just be a glitch. Okay, it’s probably a glitch. But it’s still pretty amazing. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot hasn’t had the most bug-free of launches. It’s not so bad as to ruin the game’s reputation, but the bugs are definitely… noticeable. Take this example from Reddit user cinephile1999. While playing Kakarot on the PS4, they encountered a very special glitch that showed off Piccolo’s unexpectedly awesome dance moves....

DreamHack, the long-running LAN gaming-focused festival founded in Sweden in the mid-90s, will be hosting its inaugural California event in Anaheim February of this year. The festival will host numerous esports tournaments, with the prize pools across all of its competitions totaling over $500,000. As has been the trend with most things video game-related over the past couple of years, DreamHack Anaheim’s marquee competition will be its Fortnite tournament. Anyone over 13 years of age is welcome to sign up and compete....

Novaquark, the developer behind Dual Universe, has revealed that the game’s beta will begin on August 27. The studio has been hard at work on its ambitious space MMO for more than four years already and believes it’s ready to share it with more of the world. Novaquark will also drop its non-disclosure restrictions once the beta opens up. That means experienced testers can soon begin sharing their opinions about the game, too....

This year’s E3 2011 saw a heavy focus on the continuation of an inordinate amount of existing series and IPs, with prequels, sequels and spiritual successors galore. There weren’t that many original games, but the game Inversion was definitely one of those select few. Bringing in some truly unique gameplay, the Namco Bandai product is aiming to be on shelves early 2012, and we got to give it a try....

EA is battling further leaks of Skate, as videos of its playtest emerge online. The playtest was recently announced, allowing players a look at an early build of the game. But already details have been leaking from it, including information on its map, character customisation, and in-game currency. EA has today sent out a tweet with a video teasing its third outing with the Ultimate Fighting Championship license, unsurprisingly entitled EA Sports UFC 3, promising a full reveal in two days time. I’ll get it out of the way early – my MMA knowledge isn’t spectacular – but the video features several male and female UFC fighters training in a gym including whom I believe to be Connor McGregor in a suit towards the end....

An Elden Ring dataminer has managed to access the game’s cut colosseum content. Sekiro Dubi has made plenty of videos on Elden Ring and the possibilities of what could have been, but their coverage of the game’s colosseums raise a few interesting questions. Many are wondering whether this truly is cut content or a nod to future DLC. FromSoftware titles are no stranger to cut content. From the Land of the Giants’ removal from Demon’s Souls to the numerous boss fights that didn’t make the cut in Dark Souls, the developer tends to leave a lot of interesting ideas behind during development....

Soulsborne players will be familiar with gargoyle enemies, which recur throughout the games. Usually they’re made of stone but in Elden Ring, they appear to be made of conjoined human flesh. Lovely! YouTuber Zullie the Witch has made this latest grotesque discovery, zooming in on the Valiant Gargoyles bosses. On close inspection, the heads of the gargoyles are actually two faces merged together. What’s more, there’s a clear divide between their artificial gargoyle wings and their skin....

The Elder Scrolls Online offers players dozens of activities for players to partake in. Some focus on the game’s hundreds of quests that offer compelling stories that you’d come to expect from an Elder Scrolls title. Some focus on collecting every cosmetic in the game. Some do difficult content like Trials. One of the largest sections of content available in ESO is dungeons, which are jam-packed with interesting mechanics, tough bosses, and great loot....

The PC, Xbox One, and newly-announced mobile versions of Fortnite will be patched to include a variety of cross-platform features, developer Epic Games has announced. Epic says that Microsoft has been a major supporter of the feature, with the studio having worked with the format holder ‘over the last several months to make this possible, and will bring this functionality to Fortnite players on Xbox right along with other platforms.’...

It may feel like years have passed since the initial launch of Kingdom Hearts 3 all the way back in January 2019, but the game is in the midst of a renaissance now that the big ReMIND DLC content has arrived. Players who purchase the DLC gain access to new adventures, new powerful Keyblades, and perhaps most exciting of all, new playable characters. Kingdom Hearts 3 keeps the focus on Sora and his immediate company through most of the game’s chapters, but it’s not unusual for a Kingdom Hearts title to jump around between characters a bit and introduce some other playstyles....

Fallout 4 initially released in 2015 and was well-received as the latest single-player entry in the RPG franchise. It was followed up by the initially disappointing multiplayer-focused Fallout 76, which has since improved tremendously. But there’s nothing quite like a single-player focused Fallout games. Now, it appears that you’ll be able to enjoy Fallout 4 even more thanks to a new PC performance upgrade that’s on the way. Bethesda has announced that Fallout 4 will receive a free update in 2023 as part of the studio’s ongoing celebrations for the franchise’s 25-year anniversary....

Regardless of the fact the game does still have a sizeable community, Fallout 76 is often regarded as one of the biggest flops of this generation. From its countless bugs and repetitive gameplay to Bethesda’s failure to deliver upon pre-order bonuses, the game has seemingly spiraled further and further since its release in late 2018. However, it appears one of the key figures over at Bethesda doesn’t regret making the decision to put the controversial online game into production....

Far Cry 6 has a season pass that lets you play as the series’ villains. During the Ubisoft Forward showcase, the season pass was revealed with a strange trailer. Check it out: The description reads, “For the first time in franchise history—become the villain.” It then goes to say, “You are Vaas. You are Pagan Min. You are Joseph Seed. Play as past villains with the Far Cry 6 Season Pass....

When Fast & Furious Crossroads dropped back in 2020, it did not receive the warmest of receptions — to say the least. On Steam, the game has an overall “mixed” rating out of an aggregate of 75 reviews, and even those who rated it highly did so mostly as a joke. On Metacritic, it fared quite a bit worse, as the PC version received a staggeringly low Metascore of 34 with the user ratings not faring any better....

To the surprise of very few, FIFA 18 is top of the UK charts this week after launching last Friday, but apparently wasn’t that popular among owners of the Nintendo Switch. Almost two thirds of those that bought EA’s latest football sim purchased the PlayStation 4 version, with 37% of copies sold to Xbox One owners. As GamesIndustry points out, this year’s FIFA came out on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, so it’s likely that the Switch edition accounts for less than 3% of the overall sales....
