Today Square Enix released a new trailer and news about the previously-announced mobile game Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis. The game will now get a closed beta in the summer of 2023, which is certainly a significant delay compared to the previously-announced 2022. The game was originally announced all the way back in February 2021 for iOS and Android, and has the lofty goal of compiling the entirety of the Final Fantasy VII saga into one title, and likely expanding it....

Compelling indie adventure game Firewatch is officially heading to the Nintendo Switch, developer Campo Santo has announced. No release date was given other than it’ll be out ‘soon,’ although the studio has teased it may have some ‘surprises’ for the Switch version. In addition, Campo Santo also revealed that it’s looking to ensure the game has all the makings of a ‘good Switch’ title, and is busy rebuilding it to ‘render the world more quickly....

Bandai Namco Games has announced that role-playing game sequel Divinity: Original Sin 2 is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this summer. Developed by Larian Studios, Divinity: Original Sin 2 takes place in a sprawling sandbox where players are encouraged to bend the rules and improvisation and experimentation are the order of the day. Double Fine Productions has spoken out after a leaked document reveals the US Supreme court plans to overturn Roe v Wade, a 50-year old judgement that legalises abortion across North America. It seems that Bandai Namco and developer CyberConnect2 don’t plan on abandoning Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot anytime soon. Released back in January 2020, this open-world action RPG received quite a bit of DLC throughout its life, which included three additional storylines and even a free card game. The last bit of DLC, “Trunks: The Warrior of Hope,” came out in June 2021, and it appeared that CyberConnect2’s support for the game had come to an end....
