Unsurprisingly, he completely derails, and is sprawled over the roadside when he overconfidently pops a curb. Lying there on the roadside, Phoenix recreates edgy and taboo cartoonist John Callahan’s most famous cartoon – one in which an empty wheelchair lies in the desert surrounded by Sheriffs, assuring one another, ‘he won’t get far on foot....

Xbox One users who pre-order a digital copy of DOOM via the Xbox Store will receive free copies of the original DOOM and DOOM 2, Microsoft has revealed. Codes for both games will be delivered to pre-order customers within 7-10 days of placing their order, and can be played on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One via backwards compatibility. The offer is only available “for a limited time”, Microsoft says....

The beta for Dota 2 Reborn is available to download now. Players need to simply launch Steam and download the beta from Dota 2 itself. From the “play” tab inside the game, click “Dota 2 Reborn Beta” then ‘Install’. Valve announced the upcoming overhaul this weekend, which as things stand doesn’t include ranked matchmaking, but does hope to offer a much more fluid user experience. Bandai Namco has announced a closed beta for the game, with signups beginning on July 26. It’s also been confirmed, in a trailer at Evo 2017, that Trunks is the next character to join the fighting game’s roster. In the trailer, Trunks is seen fighting other popular Dragon Ball Z characters such as Frieza and Vegeta. The trailer also reveals that Trunks will be playable during the closed beta. More details on the closed beta will be revealed shortly, said publisher Bandai Namco....

Xixo Games Studio, a two person operation centered in Spain, announced a Kickstarter campaign for its upcoming game titled Enchanted Portals earlier this month. Now, in a post on the game’s official Facebook page, the studio has announced that it will be delaying the Kickstarter campaign indefinitely due to negotiations with a prospective publisher. When the studio released the campaign reveal trailer, many users took to their favorite social media outlets to speak out about how Enchanted Portals seems to resemble Cuphead, causing the two year old game to trend on Twitter once again....

Epic Games is moving some of its development team from its struggling MOBA Paragon to its runaway success Fortnite. In a highly unusual move for a game developer, Epic Games posted an open discussion on the Paragon subreddit last week to discuss the state of the game.
