Update: The domain Fallout4.com has gone live and features the same countdown found at fallout.bethesda.com. Original report: A Fallout 4 announcement looks set to be made tomorrow at 3pm GMT, a countdown page which appears when attempting to access the Bethesda Blog has revealed. If you try to access the Bethesda blog you’ll be redirected to fallout.bethsoft.com and shown a “Please Stand By” countdown timer which is set to end at 3pm tomorrow....

Fallout 4 will receive a free update in 2023 to improve visuals and more across Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC. The news was shared in a new Bethesda blog post that details the company’s 25th anniversary celebration of the series. Ubisoft has its big, loud Far Cry 6 event earlier today to offer a first look at some gameplay. As predicted, Far Cry 6 will run the gamut of other games from the series. Guns, explosions, guerrilla warfare, vehicle combat, and deadly (and cute) animal companions await in the next game. Far Cry 6 will offer its own flavor, however, bringing in makeshift weaponry, horseback riding, and a kickass backpack with missiles....

FIFA 16 will be the first game in the series to feature female cover athletes, EA Sports has announced. Women’s World Cup winner Alex Morgan will star alongside Lionel Messi on the cover of the game in the US, while Christine Sinclair will star on the box in Canada. “It is an incredible honor to be one of the first women featured on the cover of EA SPORTS FIFA,” said Morgan....

A PS4 Pro update for Final Fantasy 15 which will arrive in December aims to offer a 1080p 60 frames per second mode, game director Hajime Tabata has revealed during the latest Active Time Report livestream. In addition to using the extra horsepower to bump up the framerate, a 4K mode operating at 30fps will also be offered for those seeking a sharper image. Exactly what resolution the 4K mode will upscale from hasn’t been revealed....

Today, during its latest Nintendo Direct broadcast, the house of Mario and Zelda announced Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. The game is a Warriors/Musou version of Fire Emblem: Three Houses telling a “different story within the same universe.” The game will launch on Nintendo Switch on June 24, 2022. Former Assassin’s Creed creative director Ashraf Ismail has returned to the games industry with a new role at Tencent, two years after being fired by Ubisoft. Ismail was let go from Ubisoft in August 2020, two months after stepping down from his role as creative director on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Multiple women, including some Ismail had met as Assassin’s Creed fans, alleged Ismail had contacted them privately and encouraged relationships while concealing the fact he was married....

The first gameplay footage of Far Cry Primal will be revealed during next week’s The Game Awards, producer Geoff Keighley has announced. The footage will be one of 10 world premieres due to be unveiled during the show, which begins at 2am GMT next Friday, December 4. The remaining 9 premieres have yet to be confirmed. Far Cry Primal takes players back to the Stone Age, where they’ll need to craft tools and hunt food to survive while fending off attacks from rival tribes and wild animals....

A trailer has been released for the forthcoming esports mockumentary, Players. From the creators of American Vandal, it follows a fictional League of Legends pro team aiming to win its first world championship. Team Fugitive is led by star player Creamcheese, but he clashes with the young prodigy Organizm. The series will be released on Paramount Plus on 16th June. You can check out the trailer below. While this isn’t an official Riot Games production, its involvement is clear due to official League of Legends footage used in the series, as well as the inclusion of various pro players and casters....

The title has now released a roadmap for the upcoming month and it appears to be packed full of content for players of all clans. Film, Television and video games composer Daniel Licht, known for his work on the Dishonored and Silent Hill games, died late on Wednesday following a battle with cancer. From 2012 to 2015 Licht was the main composer of the Silent Hill video game series, replacing Akira Yamaoka, working on Silent Hill: Downpour and Book of Memories. In games, Licht was also known for his work on the music for the acclaimed Dishonored games series, and perhaps best known for the song Honor for All, which plays through the last cinematic of the game and the credits....

A Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot gameplay demo shown at Gamescom shows off a battle between Super Saiyan 2 Gohan and Cell, including a few of their special attacks. Though slightly slower than previous Dragon Ball Z installments, there is complexity for players to contend with. Esports tournament organizer DreamHack has revealed all dates and locations of their events set to take place in 2020. These events will host a number of attractions, including gaming expos, LANs, and esports tournaments. Esports events will feature a wide variety of games, including Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, Fortnite, and multiple fighting games. DreamHack’s 2020 tour will kick off in Leipzig, Germany, on January 24th. DreamHack’s DreamLeague division will host a Dota 2 Pro Circuit Major at the event, which boasts a $1,000,000 prize pool....
