Final Fantasy XIV is a relative rarity in the world of MMOs, in that it actually has a rather good plot and story. As the newest expansion, Shadowbringers – due to launch in July – will obviously expand on that, and this new trailer from Square Enix’s E3 conference gives some indications as to how. I’m not going to go into full-on nerd mode explaining everything that goes on in the trailer, but it’s entirely composed of in-game footage and drops a lot of hints about what’s happened since the end of Stormblood....

Final Fantasy XIV’s third expansion, Shadowbringers, will launch in summer 2019, Square Enix has announced. Shadowbringers will add a bunch of new content into the mix, including a brand new race, extra jobs, and more locations to explore. Furthermore, players can tuck into a New Game Plus mode, a Trust system that allows you to battle against familiar NPCs, and travel to other servers using the World Visit System. Final Fantasy XIV producer Naoki Yoshida also revealed that update 4....

After a week of building anticipation, Bethesda released Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods – Part Two’s teaser trailer today. The 23-second video provided only a small glimpse of the action, but it was enough to rev fans up for the expansion’s release. The game has remarkable anime graphics, and its fighting system is easy to learn but takes time to master....

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot strives to be the number one video game retelling of the Dragon Ball Z storyline to date, and in pursuit of that goal, the game will cleverly adapt the more filler-like and obscure moments of the series in the form of mini-games. For example, one mini-game will adapt the time Gohan played baseball in high school. This episode isn’t as memorable as Goku and Piccolo racing to get their license, so fans who don’t remember it shouldn’t worry, as many others didn’t either....

Techland will be releasing a stand-alone PvP expansion for Dying Light next year called Dying Light: Bad Blood. With the continual rise in popularity of the battle royale genre, Techland wants a slice of the action with their own take on the genre. The game will “offer violent and dynamic online matches that blend PvP and PvE.” How that will work has not been particularly well explained but the site gives a rough idea of what’s involved....

Techland has attempted to further clarify its claim yesterday that Dying Light 2: Stay Human will take “500 hours to complete” via a follow-up tweet. The studio had already made one clarification following fan discussion of the claim. However, not taking any chances, the team further made clear the main story will only take 20 hours. If players want to finish the main story and all of the side quests, then they’re looking at 80 hours....

Draconic Tree Sentinel is just one of many optional bosses Elden Ring puts forth for the player to conquer. You can find the Draconic Tree Sentinel just outside of the northern entrance to Lyndell, Royal Capital, and you’re going to have to best this boss if you want to make it into the actual city. While you can take on the Draconic Tree Sentinel on your own, it’s an absolute beast, we’d advise using some co-operation for the tough fight ahead, or even a a spirit ash summon to help you on your way to slaying the boss....

Apex Legends was EA and Respawn Entertainments answer to the battle royale genre. The game saw a shadow launch, essentially releasing out of nowhere across the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms. That was back on February 4, 2019.
