The best Harry Potter RPG is finally out - but it’s actually in the form of a Fire Emblem game. Fire Emblem: Three Houses has been out for over a month now, and fans can’t help but notice the similarities between the Officers Academy at Garreg Mach Monastery and a certain famous school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It’s no secret that the Harry Potter franchise has never figured out how to best translate their beloved magical universe to video game screens; but thanks to Three Houses, fans finally have the chance to explore a school that’s basically Hogwarts, complete with color-coded houses, romance at the ball, and a massive school all for specialized fantasy training....
Today Koei Tecmo released a new trailer of its upcoming Musou game Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. The trailer shows the familiar heroes we know and love from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, alongside heroes who… aren’t heroes anymore, and new heroes who we’ll play. Reports that the cast of cult sci-fi series Firefly were to reunite to provide their voice talent for the upcoming MMO Firefly Online are true. Over the weekend it was confirmed that Nathan Fillion, along with the majority of the original cast will be part of the game. Only Gina Torres, who played Zoe, appears to be absent. Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma II announcement last week has drawn players back to the original game in a big way. As noted by Twitter user Benji-Sales, Dragon’s Dogma Dark Arisen saw huge numbers of players on PC this weekend. In fact, according to SteamDB the number of concurrent players (players playing at the same time) reached a peak of 6,582 on Sunday. That’s the largest number since the Dark Arisen expanded version arrived on PC in 2016....

After more than two years in development, the game, codenamed Project LMNO, is officially no longer in production. EA Maxis, the developer of The Sims, is recruiting for its next “new, unannounced title,” and it seems to have nothing to do with the successful life simulation series (via games radar). A Reddit user spotted the recent job opportunities that sprang up at the studio, and these provide us with some insight as to what EA Maxis might be cooking up. The developer is seeking people who are experienced in “excellent user experiences for new IP,” so that it can get its “next big production” off the ground....
