Expanding the lightning-in-a-bottle first series, adapted from her acclaimed 2013 Edinburgh stage show could well be folly, she admitted, but she’d had an idea good enough to risk it. This episode shows it was a risk well worth taking. Waller-Bridge not only had a good idea for the new run (Fleabag vs God: a love story) but has turned it into exquisite TV....

FNBRLeaks is no more. The Fortnite dataminer has been forced to shut down its social media accounts following a cease-and-desist letter from developers Epic Games, who threatened legal action. The owner of the accounts, Preston, recently took down his Twitter, Discord, YouTube, Instagram and GitHub accounts and reached out to fans to let them know that he had been contacted by a Fortnite attorney, who demanded that he gets rid of all FNBRLeaks avenues....

The slowdown in video game sales has hit EA particularly hard. After laying off 1500 employees in November, the company slashed its 2010 financial forecast last week. Mitch Lasky, a former EA exec, responded to the news by saying, “EA is in the wrong business, with the wrong cost structure and the wrong team.” Lasky sold his mobile entertainment business to EA in 2005 for $680 million, and ran EA’s mobile division (EAMobile)....

Following the confirmation of a new Earthworm Jim game being in development, original creator Doug TenNapel has teased some artwork showing the character in novel fashion. Doug has been rather active on Instagram lately, posting several photos of the old Earthworm Jim, which is not unusual for creators, who sometimes share artwork and possible designs for their characters even years after their debuts. There’s been some more info on upcoming RPG Elden Ring over the weekend, following the latest gameplay trailer. A tweet from the game’s official account has revealed five of the upcoming game’s starting playable classes. These include the Warrior, the Enchanted Knight, the Prophet, the Champion and the Bloody Wolf. Each appears to be carrying their own signature weapon, for example the Warrior has the classic sword, while the Prophet wields a heavy club....

Ulcerated Tree Spirit is an optional boss found in the open world of Elden Ring. As you might have guessed from the name, the Ulcerated Tree Spirit is a grotesque monster, which will come as no surprise whatsoever to veterans of FromSoftware games. You can take down the Ulcerated Tree Spirit either solo or co-op with another player or NPC, although the latter is definitely easier. Additionally, using a spirit ash summon in the fight against this boss is allowed....

Epic Games has had enough of collusion in Fortnite, and will be implementing measures to curtail its use in competitive games and introduce sanctions against those players (via Go Nintendo). The developer claimed that sabotage had run rampant in official Fortnite competitions held in 2019, but the rule set couldn’t consistently identify when it was really happening and when it was only pacifist communication between opposing players. To avoid confusion in the future, the new collusion rule has been introduced to the new year of competitive Fortnite games....
