Farming Simulator 15 GOLD, the first official expansion to the hit farming game, will launch in October for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, Focus Home Interactive has announced. GOLD will introduce an Eastern-European map, offering hundreds of new acres to farm. Also included are 20 new vehicles and tools reproduced from famous constructors: Rostselmash, Zetor, Tatra, Kverneland, Farmtech, and more. PC gamers can buy the expansion from October 29 via retail and digital stores, whilst it will also be available bundled with the full game....

Today we have gotten news of the upcoming Awakening collection event in Apex Legends, the first of season 13. The Awakening collection event will start this upcoming Tuesday, June 21. There will be the usual 24 items to collect in the event through related Apex Packs. Collecting all 24 items will award players with Valkyrie’s new Heirloom, a very ornate spear named Suzaku. Among other changes is that the LTM (limited time mode) Control will be returning for the first time this season with a map using a location from World’s Edge....

French publisher Microids has announced that work has begun on a sequel to 1992 classic action platformer Flashback, with the game’s original creator Paul Cuisset on board. The original sci-fi adventure starred Conrad B. Hart facing off against a race of shapeshifting aliens in a side-scrolling platform with a similar look to 1989’s original Prince of Persia, though obviously with a far more futuristic bent. Hart will return in the sequel, but there’s not much more information to go on than that....

Last week’s news from Activision that Bizarre Creations was going to be closing its doors for the last time was some of the saddest news to come to gaming in the last little while. Known for creating the memorable Project Gotham Racing and Geometry Wars franchises, it’s closure was a big loss to the game development world. Fret not hopeful reader! Not all is lost. Word has surfaced that while the name of Bizarre Creations may have been done in, its spirit is currently striving to live on....

When the Doom 64 port to PC, Playstation 4, Switch, and Xbox One comes out on March 20th, it will feature a brand new chapter not featured in the game’s original release in 1997. Previously only accessible on the Nintendo 64, this re-release will be the first time many players get to experience Doom 64. Originally developed by id Software, the port of Doom 64 is being handled by Nightdive Studios....

Video games are no stranger to the bizarre. Driven Out takes that logic to the next step.
