It seems that developer Okomotive isn’t done exploring the desolate world of FAR: Lone Sails just yet. Okomotive, alongside publisher Frontier, announced another game set in its post-apocalyptic universe: FAR: Changing Tides. The game is setting sail for a PC release sometimes later this year on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The gameplay of FAR: Changing Tides is similar to its predecessor, with some clear differences. Most obvious of those changes is that Changing Tides has you sailing across a sea as opposed to the sand dunes of Lone Sails....

Today Final Fantasy XIV director and producer Naoki Yoshida released a long statement about the use of third-party tools in the game. The statement mostly reiterates previously expressed positions, explicitly forbidding the use of any third-party tool. Yet, Yoshida-san also promises to enhance the UI and HUD of the game in order to discourage the use of third-party modification. Bethesda has confirmed that Arkane’s new vampire game, Redfall, will get a 30-minute slot at its upcoming QuakeCon event. QuakeCon itself is set to kick off at 6pm UK time on 18th August, whilst the Redfall-flavoured reveal will run for 30 minutes from 6.15pm and “takes you inside [Arkane’s] upcoming squad-based vampire shooter with new insights, gameplay details and more!” Other games set to feature in the presentation include The Elder Scrolls Online, Fallout 76, Fallout 4, Ghostwire: Tokyo, Deathloop, and Quake, of course....
