Hideo Kojima, one of gaming’s most famous auteurs and prominent Geoff-Keighley’s-best-friend, turns 54 today. The occasion was celebrated in style, with a black birthday cake iced like the BRIDGES teaser image for Death Stranding, Kojima’s upcoming game that nobody really knows anything about. Kojima’s personal assistant Tweeted some pictures, as did the birthday boy himself. Instead of ‘Death Stranding’ the cake says ‘Happy Birthday’. Aww. The PlayStation Blog has announced that the new game in the Hot Shots Golf series, Everybody’s Golf, is coming on August 29. Hot Shots Golf is a classic PlayStation series, and this year marks the 20th anniversary of the first game releasing on the original PlayStation. Everybody’s Golf has the same mechanics as Hot Shots Golf, but is adding more character customisation, as well as fishing, buggy racing and treasure hunting in, surprise surprise, an open world....
G2A is having a really bad month. As we reported last week, indie developers started a petition demanding that G2A stop selling indie titles. So far, more than 5,500 games industry professionals have signed it, and it doesn’t look like that tide will slow down soon. That same day, G2A released a statement in which it vowed to pay developers 10 times the revenue “proven to be lost on chargebacks.” One particular developer decided to take them up on it: Wube Software, the studio behind one of the most successful Early Access titles on Steam, Factorio....
Fall Guys has taken the gaming world by storm since its launch early last month. The multiplayer, game show-like, battle royale seems to only be growing in popularity and developer Mediatonic is attempting to appease that growth. The weekly change in the Fallout 76 Nuke Code list has arrived once again. Today, Marvel has unveiled its first official trailer for Iman Vellani’s debut as Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, in the MCU. The character is based around a Pakistani American teenager from New Jersey who idolizes Carol Danvers, better known as Captain Marvel. Far Cry Primal’s previously announced Legend of the Mammoth DLC missions included in the Collector’s Edition and retailer specific Special Editions have been shown off in a new trailer. In the UK you can pick up the Special Edition from GAME, whilst Gamestop is handling the Special Edition in Ireland.
