Two weeks ago, Fall Guys saw a massive resurgence in the public eye of the gaming community, as fans were eager to hop back on board and celebrate the game’s jump to free-to-play. Today, Mediatonic has revealed that the game has passed the 50 million players mark in that timeframe alone. The news came by way of a tweet from the official Fall Guys Twitter account, which celebrated the news by thanking all of its players for the unbelievable accomplishment....

Fallout 4 has been confirmed for release on PS4, Xbox One and PC, after the game’s official website went live ahead of the planned 3pm reveal. The site includes an artwork and links to pre-order, though retailers aren’t yet listing the game. In addition a YouTube video is embedded, though is currently set to private. Over 500,000 physical copies of Fallout 4 were sold in the UK during the game’s launch week, GfK Chart Track has revealed. As reported by MCV, the game’s strong debut makes it the 18th fastest-selling game of all time, and the third fastest-selling game of 2015. The figure does not include digital copies sold via Steam, PSN or Xbox Live. The game is also reportedly “one of just four IPs to have sold more than half a million units in a week in the UK”....

Approximately 12 million copies of Fallout 4 were shipped in to retailers on day one, Bethesda has announced, “representing sales in excess of $750 million”. While the figure does not represent the actual number of copies sold through to consumers, Bethesda says that it was “advised that launch day sales at some of the leading retail chains were the largest of any game released this year”. The company also says that it is “now shipping more Fallout 4 units to retailers to meet ongoing market demand”....

UbiSoft has announced the release date for the Far Cry 5: Hours of Darkness DLC and it will launch on 5 June for PC. The DLC takes players back in time with Hope County’s Wendell “Red” Redler to find and rescue squad member from the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese Army during the Vietnam War. The DLC can be played solo or co-op and there are new gear and abilities to get to grips with....

Ubisoft has lifted the wraps off Far Cry 5: Far Cry Arcade, a new feature coming to the highly anticipated open-world sequel that allows you to cobble together unique gameplay experiences using assets from previous games under the publisher’s belt. Over the weekend, an alleged hacker leaked 90 videos of in-development footage of GTA VI. The same hacker group supposedly targeted Uber, as the company has since released a blog detailing the attack it suffered and mentioning that the FBI is currently investigating. In its blog, Uber mentions that the hacker is reported to be the same who attacked Rockstar Games. For years, Rockstar has been known for keeping information about its games locked down as tightly as possible, which made this recent leak surprising....

Final Fantasy VII Remake director Tetsuya Nomura has moved to clear up misinformation surrounding the game, which has lead to speculation that the game isn’t even in development yet.
