Former Bioware general manager Casey Hudson has announced he’s forming a brand new independent studio called Humanoid Studios. Announcing the new studio via his Twitter account, Hudson said “Today we are announcing a new independent videogame company built to unleash the creative freedom of developers – bringing innovation and artistry to players through an all-new IP.” While there’s currently little information on what the new studio, based in Canada, is working on, the website does reveal that it’s currently hiring for several roles....

Scott Derrickson has signed on to direct the upcoming thriller Bermuda for Skydance with Captain America actor Chris Evans in talks to star, according to Variety. The film has been in development at Skydance since 2013. No other studio is currently attached, though Skydance has a distribution and finance deal with Paramount. Derrickson will rewrite the script with C. Robert Cargill, his collaborator on the first Doctor Strange film, which came out in 2016....

ECS has revealed the on-air talent crew for a new, currently unnamed CS:GO league set to begin in March. The broadcast lineup features ECS staples James Bardolph, Daniel “ddk” Kapadia, and Freya Spiers, along with former Overwatch League commentator Christopher “MonteCristo” Mykles. Further details regarding the league are yet to be released, though this looks to be the “B Site” league that already has many big teams attached.
