EA Sports has tweeted out a pair of screens offering up a look at the upgraded player models that’ll be on display in the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 enhanced versions of soccer sim, FIFA 21. Showing off the faces of Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold and Madrid’s Joao Felix, it’s our first look at the game’s next-generation versions, with all the high detail you’d expect from the more powerful machines including some very sweaty brows you’d expect from professional atheletes....

The 60th Final Fantasy XIV Letter From The Producer Live has just aired, bringing with it a few interesting tidbits about patch 5.4 for the massive MMO. Reggie Fils-Aimé has given up the boardroom in order to return to the classroom. The former Regginator has announced that he has taken up a teaching position at Cornell University. Reggie announced earlier this year that he would be standing down from his position as president of Nintendo of America, which marked the beginning of his retirement. Reggie officially stepped down on April 15 and was replaced by Doug Bowser. Former Valve writer Chet Faliszek has announced via his Twitter that he’s joined Bossa Studios to work on an unannounced PC game. Faliszek also confirmed that he wouldn’t be relocating to London, instead remaining in Seattle and working at Bossa Studios new Seattle base. Bossa also confirmed the hire on its own official Twitter. The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 open beta will kick off this weekend. It starts tomorrow, August 10, at 10 AM PST for those who have preordered the game, and then it open to anyone with the Battle.net on August 11. Once the beta test is over, however, you won’t get the chance to play again until the playtest for the battle royale mode known as Blackout rolls out in September....

Wizards of the Coast released a new sourcebook last week, Eberron: Rising from the Last War, finally adapting the popular Eberron setting to the 5th Edition of Dungeons & Dragons. It’s a unique setting that differs from the standard D&D setting of Faerun, and the sourcebook includes some interesting new features. Eberron is a classic setting in D&D, having been introduced to the series during edition 3.5, back in 2004. It even won an award for Best Roleplaying Game Supplement of that year....
