Square Enix has announced the second instalment in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake project: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. New footage of the game was shown at the Final Fantasy 7 25th anniversary celebration, presented by producer Yoshinori Kitase. Kitase also confirmed not only the game’s release - winter 2023 - but that the entire remake project will consist of three parts. That’s Remake, Rebirth, and an as yet unnamed third game....
Final Fantasy VII Remake is only a few months away from release, but those who are attending the 2020 Jump Festa event in Japan will have a chance to see a new trailer that will be broadcast at the exhibition. Fire Emblem: Three Houses Cindered Shadows DLC introduces a new House into the story, thereby screwing with the game’s title (via Forbes). I think this is quite funny. Anyway, this is the big story-driven section of the game’s expansion pass, which reveals that there has been a fourth house lurking in the recesses of the Garreg Mach Monastery. It turns out that there is a whole town underneath the academy—The Abyss—and it is under threat from nefarious figures working from the shadows....
Some work in progress screenshots of the upcoming Yakuza 8 have appeared online thanks to one of the game’s new stars. The images were first reported by Famitsu and brought to our attention by Nibellion. Ryu Ga Gotaku Studio invited Japanese mixed martial arts artist Mikuru Asakura to tour the studio. Asakura, it turns out, will be playing a new character in the latest game, and documented his visit to YouTube....

Ubisoft’s For Honor drops 72 per cent in its second week, but still sold enough units to beat Microsoft’s newly released Halo Wars 2 to the UK No.1 spot. The Walt Disney Company has invited game developers to create original video games based on classic movie franchises. He’s brought up by quite a few NPCs around the game’s world, making it seem like he should be important. Or at the very least like his name should invoke some kind of deep DBZ lore dive. Gathering the Dragon Balls to make a wish has been a staple of Dragon Ball for decades, and Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will continue that trend by letting players gather the Dragon Balls for their own wishes. Players won’t be able to wish for just anything, though. Instead, players can look forward to challenging enemies they can’t find in the story. Wishing to fight a defeated enemy will grant some boosts to EXP as well as other rewards, which will likely provide players with enough incentive to explore the map to search for the iconic orange orbs....
A new trailer for Bandai Namco’s Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was revealed at the Tokyo Game Show today. Ever since the announcement of the game, it has been often wondered whether Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will cover every saga featured in Dragon Ball Z. At first, it was confirmed that the game will reach the Frieza saga, then later the Cell saga. It wasn’t clear if the game would reach to the Buu saga, but luckily, the latest trailer finally brings an answer to this question....

In preparation for its big debut at E3 2011, Bethesda Softworks has just released the first trailer for Prey 2, the “spiritual successor” to the Native American alien survival shooter. Abandoning many (read: all) of the features that made the first Prey a cult classic, this sequel explores the storyline of a new protagonist with a new set of abilities.
