Eberron is the second officially supported campaign setting in Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition, after the beloved Forgotten Realms setting (in which the majority of 5th edition sourcebooks take place). Now that there are two full campaign sourcebooks solely dedicated to building adventures in this next setting, it’s time to explore what players will get out of an adventure in Eberron. Of course, Eberron isn’t actually new, nor is the Forgotten Realms; they’re both old favorites carried over from previous editions of Dungeons & Dragons....

EA has confirmed it’s sticking with loot boxes for FIFA 23’s Ultimate Team mode, after the company was effectively given the green light by the UK government’s recent decision not to legislate the controversial in-game monetisation system. In a statement issued to Eurogamer, EA echoed many of its recent comments on Ultimate Team’s card packs, which have come under fire from children’s groups and researchers in recent years for their links to gambling, and from players for enabling pay-to-win in competitive modes....

Flying Dragon Agheel just one of many optional bosses found in the open world of Elden Ring. This winged terror can be found relatively close to where you begin the game. Simply by heading over to the Dragon-Burnt Ruins in Limgrave, you’ll find Flying Dragon Agheel. You can take down Flying either solo or co-op with another player or NPC, although the latter is definitely easier. Additionally, using a spirit ash summon in the fight against this boss is allowed....

Do not worry, your copy of Elden Ring did not ratchet up the difficulty by forcing you to play offline today. As announced on the official Twitter account of the game, Elden Ring will be undergoing maintenance on all platforms. However, we can expect the servers to be down for only about an hour or so. Developers will be working on improving the game’s multiplayer functionality, and depending on your chosen platform, here are the times to look out for....

Epic will stop doing exclusive deals if Steam agrees to their same 12/88 revenue sharing, according to Epic’s CEO. The PC gaming market is in turmoil ever since the arrival of the Epic Games Store. No longer content to release ever increasing numbers of the Unreal Engine and making oodles of cash off of Fortnite microtransactions, Epic set their sights on the big money in PC gaming: Steam. There’s no denying that Valve makes a bundle off of Steam....

FACEIT, one of the largest independent competitive esports platforms, has partnered with Alphabet-owned Jigsaw to tackle the ongoing issue of toxic behavior in online gaming. Jigsaw and FACEIT have implemented Perspective, a machine-learning AI fine-tuned to weed out harmful comments, on FACEIT’s competitive servers. FACEIT is a competitive esports platform with over 15 million users, hosting thousands of online matches every single day. Toxic comments, harassment, and spam messages are a common problem within online gaming, including on independent services like FACEIT....

Although the manga and anime series have officially come to an end, fans of Hiro Mashima’s creation Fairy Tail still have a video game adaptation to look forward to, and new artwork for the game has recently been revealed. The official Fairy Tail Twitter page unveiled the first two illustrations for the “Guild Box” collector’s edition that will be available upon the game’s Japanese launch in 2020. The artwork provides a closer look at the game’s cover art and also gives a sneak peek at the cloth poster that will be included in the collector’s edition, which shows Erza, Lucy, and Wendy frolicking at the beach....

Far Cry has been a game series that has changed quite a bit lately with its couple of last installments, re-defining the main elements that affect how the game plays and feels. No matter how the series changes, one of the main points of focus is, of course, the guns. Far Cry 5 is an FPS game with a decently-sized arsenal of guns to choose from, however, those who played it have made the remark that the arsenal is filled with almost equal parts of useless guns, as well as very powerful ones....

Farming Simulator 17 will release simultaneously on PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 25, publisher Astragon Entertainment has announced. And if you’re heading out to Gamescom you’ll be able to play it months ahead of release, where the game is scheduled to receive its first public hands-on at a massive 240 square meter booth. Alongside the new game, “many other games belonging to the Framing Simulator franchise” will be shown off at Gamescom, too, with prize draws and a “whole host of activities” planned for the event....

The Final Fantasy series is so rich in terms of content that choosing one of the best games out of the multitude of titles present in this genre is a hard task. The worst part is that there’s no single definitive answer — such is the quality of (almost) all the titles in this series.
