Epic games, developer of Fortnite, has become the target of a class-action lawsuit due to security breaches of Epic Games accounts. Earlier this year, a Fornite bug exposed personal user information for millions of players through an exploit in some of Epic’s subdomains. At the time, Epic acknowledged the breach, and patched it out of Fortnite. It’s worth noting this is different from the Epic Store account issues in April which came from phishing scams....

Evil Geniuses continue to build their League of Legends Championship Series roster with the additions of ex-Cloud9 support Tristan “Zeyzal” Stidam and former 100 Thieves AD carry Bae “Bang” Jun-sik. Zeyzal will be reunited with Cloud9 teammate Dennis “Svenskeren” Johnsen on the Evil Geniuses lineup. Tristan “Zeyzal” Stidam began his LCS career with Cloud9, having been promoted to the main roster from the organization’s Academy team. Earlier today Bethesda Software put out a press release announcing the “star-studded” lineup that will be lending their voices to Fallout: New Vegas. Names such as Wayne Newton, Ron Perlman, Danny Trejo, and Kris Kristofferson are just a few of the voices you will be hearing on October 19th, when New Vegas is scheduled for release. Bethesda appears to be continuing their tradition of hiring big name actors to provide voices for their games....

Final Fantasy VII Remake is coming to PlayStation 5, and it includes visual upgrades, a new episode, featuring a character named Yuffie, and a funky title: “Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.” The new version includes improved textures, lighting, and loading times, while also offering a performance mode—running at 60fps—and a graphics mode, which lets you play in 4K. If the prospect of missing out on Yuffie fills you with a sort of moral dread, then fear not....

Last month, during Final Fantasy VII’s 25th Annversary livestream, Square Enix finally confirmed that the Final Fantasy VII Remake series would actually be a trilogy, something that had long been rumoured. Speaking to Famitsu recently though, Creative Director and Final Fantasy legend, Tetsuya Nomura, confirmed that that was not always the case. In fact, it could have been just two games! “The reason I didn’t announce how many parts I had so far was because I was considering whether it was a trilogy or a two-part work,” said Nomura-san....

Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster will launch for PC via Steam on May 12, Square Enix has announced. Previously released on PS3, Vita and PS4, the remastered collection is based on the international versions of the games which feature full English and Japanese voices. The first gameplay footage for EA’s new hunting game Wild Hearts has been released into the wild realm of YouTube. The game is being developed by Koei Tecmo’s Omega Force studio which has been behind the Dynasty Warriors series from the start. This will be the second hunting game outing for Omega Force after the two Toukiden games. Wild Hearts was first revealed to us in a press release in mid-September when all that was said about it was that it would be the “next great hunting game”....

Disintegration possesses its own “unique architecture” which lets it stand apart from the “trendy” games of the moment (via PCGamesN). That’s according to Marcus Lehto, the director of the game, as stated in an interview with PCGamesN. Lehto is credited with the co-creation of Halo, working as the creative art director at Bungie from 1997 to 2012. He then established his own studio, V1 Interactive, which employed a small team to develop its debut title, Disintegration....

With games as art being used as a talking point in the mainstream media these days, it’s important to ask the question whether gamers actually want that. The Dragon Quest series might seem as if it follows the example set by Final Fantasy and uses self-contained storylines and worlds for each of its games, but that is not the case. The first six Dragon Quest games are actually two separate trilogies, with the first three games being known as the “Erdrick” trilogy and the other three games are called the “Zenithia” trilogy. Capcom has announced that it will be shuttering the online support for the Xbox 360 version of Dragon’s Dogma and Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen after six years. Network functionality for the overlooked fantasy-RPG will be coming to a close at 9.00am GMT on March 31.
