EA has confirmed that it’ll be showing off an “early look” at the next Dragon Age adventure from Bioware at this year’s Game Awards event on Thursday evening on December 10 (around midnight on Wednesday December 9 in UK time). A tweet from the series’ official account confirmed the reveal last night, confirming the game’s attendance at the event following hints and speculation. EA had previously said during an investor call last October that we would probably not be getting the latest installment in the epic RPG series until “2022 at the earliest” so it does appear to track that we’d start getting our first proper glimpses now as we’re about to start 2021....

DriveClub developer Evolution Studios has been struck by a further round of layoffs, Sony has confirmed to VideoGamer.com. The redundancies follow a restructuring at the studio that will see it “focus on DriveClub as a service going forward”. While future projects had yet to be announced, Sony’s statement suggests any further titles that could have been in development may have been cancelled. “Evolution Studios will now focus on DriveClub as a service going forward, in particular, the important launch of the PS Plus Edition,” said a statement provided to VideoGamer....

Developer Techland has shown off a new trailer for the upcoming Dying Light 2: Stay Human, focusing on combat and parkour. EA and Respawn Entertainment are set to unveil the latest entry into the Star Wars franchise later this week. EA doesn’t exactly have the best track record when it comes to making Star Wars games. A free character skin will be included with every DLC patch released for Mortal Kombat X, creative director Ed Boone has announced, meaning that all players will receive a free piece of content even if they have no intention of purchasing the DLC.
