When the Doom Eternal official soundtrack released alongside the game’s Collector’s Edition, fans did not come away happy. Advertised to feature “uncompressed” and “lossless” audio files containing the music of composer Mick Gordon, the soundtrack ended up mostly consisting of songs mixed using music fragments from the game. And Gordon only mixed 11 out of the 59 included tracks. A May 2020 statement posted on Reddit by id Software Studio Director Marty Stratton placed much of the blame on Gordon....

This weekend marks the finals of Dragon Ball FighterZ last Season 2 tournament, the World Tour Finals. It’s a major event for Dragon Ball FighterZ, which is why Bandai Namco is going above and beyond to make it feel special. Yesterday, Bandai Namco revealed its plans for Season 3 in 2020 and 2021. These plans include the addition of the Z Assist Feature, which will completely change the game. Today, Bandai Namco has a gameplay-focused trailer showing off Season 3’s known DLC characters....

Support for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 apparently will never end, and Bandai Namco announced a new character for the upcoming DLC. Following the reveal of Goku (Ultra Instinct -Sign-), the “Conton City Vote Pack” DLC will also include Dyspo. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is the upcoming Bandai Namco game that will let you play the story of Goku from the Saiyan Saga through to, at least, the end of the Majin Buu Saga. It’s a single-player action role-playing game, and while it’s Goku’s story, you will be able to play as a few different characters from the anime — including everyone’s favorite anti-hero, Vegeta, as we can see from the recently released Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Vegeta gameplay trailer....

It appears that the Dragon Quest movie will be released overseas on streaming video platforms, as a listing for Dragon Quest: Your Story has appeared on Netflix. Dragon Quest: Your Story is a CGI movie adaptation of Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride, which follows a young boy on his journey into adulthood, as he must go on a quest to find the Legendary Hero. Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride is often considered to be the best game in the series by the fans, though the reception to Dragon Quest: Your Story wasn’t as positive, especially as it switched the classic Akira Toriyama artwork for something more akin to a Dreamworks movie....

Konami has announced its long-running football series will drop the PES branding entirely and be free-to-play with eFootball launching this Autumn on consoles and PC. Epic Games has unveiled the new skins for subscribers of Fornite Crew. Starting on September 30 at 8 PM ET, subscribers will be getting the Red Claw skin, which includes dual pickaxes, Dark Nights/Red Lights Lobby Tracks (as well as an instrumental version), Black Fang Back Gear, Shredded Red Weapon skins, and 1,000 V-Bucks. The Red Claw skin will also allow players to switch between Red Claw with or without their mask....

Sony Online Entertainment, the creator of zombie MMO H1Z1 and EverQuest among others, has has been acquired by investment management firm Columbus Nova. The studio will become Daybreak Games and effectively operate as an independent development studio with a focus on creating online games. Sony has announced the line-up of free games included in next month’s PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection. From February 4, PS4 users will be able to download indie hit Transistor and Greek mythology action-RPG Apotheon free of charge, replacing last month’s free games The Swapper and Infamous: First Light. Meanwhile, PS3 users will be given Square Enix’s jewel-nicking stealth game Thief and cult action title Yakuza 4, with PS Vita users offered side-scrolling platform adventure Kick & Fennick....

Final Fantasy XV will release worldwide on PS4 and Xbox One on September 30, 2016, according to a Gematsu report. The site claims to have been told the date by three independent sources “who would have knowledge of the matter”, and who it claims are “reliable”.
