Fear Effect Sedna, the Kickstarter project with the blessing of Square Enix Collective, has been fully funded with more than a day to spare. Understandably, developer Sushee is very pleased at reaching the funding target of €100,000, especially given backing appeared to flatline only days after launch. Thankfully, some social media support from Square Enix helped secure around €20,000 in the last three days to push the project into production....

FIFA 23 is back and the game looks like a major upgrade on its predecessors. With the HyperMotion 2 Gaming Technology, FIFA comes quite close to real-world football. And this upgrade is not just in the sense of Graphics, the AI motion and movement, the upgrades in attacking, skills, dribbling, and defending can be seen quite clearly. A group of quality assurance (QA) contractors working on BioWare’s next Dragon Age game have voted to unionise. The decision - unanimously agreed by all 16 voters at Keywords Studios - means collective bargaining on worker rights will now begin. This drive for unionisation comes amid a wider push for video game worker unions in the US, and after a previous squabble between staff and Keywords bosses over returning to work in-office....

Prior to the release of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment promised that this game would be the most accurate telling of the classic Z saga story in a video game to date. It’s clear as fans dive into this game that Bandai Namco lives up to this promise, but in doing so, leaves many of the game’s details to fall to the wayside. Still, though, many fans of the franchise may consider this one of the best Dragon Ball Z games currently available and what it does set aside isn’t incredibly detrimental to it....

As soccer game franchises go, it really is hard to top what EA Sports does with FIFA. OnLive, the cloud-gaming service, has announced that its streaming functionality will now be available on both the iPad and Android tablet devices. Both operating systems will receive access to the OnLive Player App, which will allow subscribers of the OnLive service to stream most of its catalogue, making hardcore PC gaming available on the go. A couple of years ago, we covered a streaming device that promised to deliver your home console’s content to any television outside of the home, but the home internet requirements were quite steep and users could only play those games that were either in the disc drive tray or installed on the system’s hard drive....

Since launching last month, Knockout City has been a huge success. The team-based dodgeball action game has managed to attract five million players during its free trial period. To celebrate this milestone publisher Electronic Arts has decided to extend the Knockout City free trial. Previously, the plan was to run a free trial for the first ten days after release. After this players would have to purchase Knockout City to continue playing....

EA and Steam will have a cross-save feature that will let you play your Origin games on the new platform. In case you haven’t heard, EA and Steam are getting back together after an 8-year hiatus. The news was announced on October 29th with a lovely tweet that made it out to be a sort of marriage invitation between these two gaming powerhouses.
