Nintendo has announced that it will finally be bringing the original Fire Emblem RPG entitled Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light to the Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop this December. The original game has never been localised in English before until now, although did recieve a remake of sorts known as Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon on the Nintendo DS back in 2008. New features for this Switch version will include the ability to rewind turns in case you feel like changing tactics, and a fast forward function to get through enemy movements faster and the ability to save bookmarks....

With only eight days until the release of the highly anticipated Fire Emblem: Three Houses “Cindered Shadows” DLC, fans are eager for new details about the Garreg Mach Monastery Officers Academy’s mysterious fourth house. But beyond information about the actual plot of the upcoming side story, the official Fire Emblem Twitter account has additionally released specifics regarding the actual gameplay mechanics of the Cindered Shadows DLC. As previously announced, the Cindered Shadows DLC will be available as as side story and be playable independent of the main Three Houses game....

Valve has announced that Dota 2 players who are abusive, cheat, or sell Steam accounts will be banned from the MOBA until 2038, in preparation for the game’s next ranked season (via Kotaku). The sanctions for ‘bad actors’ began yesterday and will roll out in waves. These apply to anyone who has ‘exceptionally low behavior scores’, those who are selling Steam accounts to buy a higher Dota 2 rank, players ‘using exploits to gain an advantage over other players’, and smurf accounts....

Dota Underlords will leave Steam Early Access on February 25, and in anticipation, Valve has shared details about the game’s launch party and brand new customization features. As the game moves into its official first season, players will be given access to a variety of ways to make their own play board unique. In a post on Steam, Valve shared a detailed breakdown of what elements will carry across into Season One from the Beta Season, including an explanation of how this will affect existing players who have supported Underlords throughout its time in Early Access....

EA is moving the release day for all future titles in the UK from Friday to Thursday. The publisher says the change is to bring the UK in line with the rest of Europe. “Until now, players in the UK have had to wait until Friday for new EA games to release, one day after the rest of Europe. We realised that players wanted to be able to get in the game the same time as their friends across Europe and we’re happy to make this change,” wrote EA in a blog....

Hazelight’s Josef Fares has confirmed that the studio’s next project will be published by Electronic Arts. The new title from the director of A Way Out is still in its infancy, with Fares revealing to Eurogamer at Gamelab that it’ll be entering full development in about a month. He was also keen to heap praise on publishing partner EA, who he says have been ‘super-supportive’ backing his ideas. ‘Yeah, we’re with EA,’ he confirmed....
