A Pokémon fan is creating a 60fps mod for Scarlet and Violet that significantly boosts performance. The mod, created by theboy181, is not yet complete or publicly available, but videos have been posted on Twitter showing the smoother frame rate. Developer Larian Studios has shockingly announced that the development of Divinity: Fallen Heroes has been put on hold. “Originally scheduled for a November 2019 release, it has become clear to everyone involved that the game will need far greater development time and resources than are available now to bring it to fruition, in a fun and sustainable way,” reads a statement from Larian published via Twitter. “Going forward, we at Larian will continue to work on Baldur’s Gate 3 with news coming soon, and Logic Artists will be focusing on their own Expeditions games....

It looks like Dragon Ball is finally making its way to Fortnite, if leaks coming from datamined game files are anything to go by. The news comes from popular dataminer HYPEX, who has noticed a brand-new cel-shaded Creative prop called the ‘Stamina Container.’ The logo on the container is essentially the exact same as the ‘Capsule Corp’ logo from the Dragon Ball franchise. It also has the same cel-shaded anime outline as other anime cosmetics that entered the Fortnite universe from series like Naruto....

EA has just held it’s Q3 financial call and it turned up more information on the dreaded Star Wars Battlefront 2 loot boxes which were so controversial when the game launched. Ultra Ultra, the Danish studio made up of ex-IO Interactive developers who released action adventure Echo in 2017, has sadly shuttered its doors according to a tweet from the studio’s official account. The tweet, posted yesterday, said that the team was ‘grateful to have had the chance to crystallize something truly from the heart’ with Echo. The game itself had a relatively quiet release (here’s our preview from the time), but did get picked up for a movie adaptation just in January this year, with Deadline reporting that John Wick creator Derek Kolstad was being brought aboard to direct the screenplay....

If there’s one thing that never ceases to bring a smile to my face, it’s a successful Kickstarter. Especially when that Kickstarter is for an exciting indie game thought up by a talented small team. And given that Endless Memories managed to raise over $14,000 and is developed by just two people, I think it qualifies. To add to my excitement Endless Memories is a combat-oriented Metroidvania. I’ve spent a morning or two with Evil Dead, and from the off it’s looked the part. Sam Raimi’s horror classics have a definite visual style, and it’s all there on the screen: the cabin surrounded by grasping trees, the lights strobing through branches, a variety of Bruce Campbells to play as. My cup runneth over. Is that an Oldsmobile to pootle around in? Yes please. And it played…well, at first it was decent multiplayer horror stuff....
The first patch for Evolve has rolled out ahead of the game’s launch tomorrow – and it’s a bit of a monster.
