Before you ask, no, Bethesda still isn’t selling Fallout 76 on Steam. However, that doesn’t mean it won’t be sold anywhere but Bethesda.net. Today, you can purchase Fallout 76 and its Tricentennial Edition at Microsoft’s official store. The two editions in question are under the store’s disc PC games section. Which, of course, means the store is offering the physical copies up for pre-order. The special edition of the game comes with some fancy exclusive add-ons, if you’re into digital swag....

The Final Fantasy VII Remake will be “told across a multi-part series, with each entry providing its own unique experience,” Square Enix has revealed. How this multi-part series approach will fit in with the original game’s story remains to be seen. In addition, Square revealed a new gameplay trailer for the game at the PlayStation Experience on Saturday. The trailer features elements fans will instantly recognise, including the train from the Sector 7 slums, the Sector 1 Mako Reactor and some of the streets of Midgar....

Final Fantasy VII shipped with several prominent bugs, some of which were fixed in the international versions of the game. It seems as if every rerelease of Final Fantasy VII has come with its own brand new crop of bugs that Square Enix was unable to deal with and the recent Nintendo Switch port of the game is no exception. The Nintendo Switch version of Final Fantasy VII is based on the 2013 version of the game that was released on Steam....

The first Modern Warfare 3 gameplay trailer has been released, and it confirms the previously rumoured November 8 2011 release date. Throughout the trailer we see America, England, Paris, and Germany under attack – the four locations shown in the original teaser trailers. In London, an underground carriage is shown derailing and tumbling through the air. The end of the trailer features Makarov (he of ‘No Russian’ fame) talking about his plans for further nasty business and the words WW3 turning into the MW3 logo....

We have been given our first proper glance at the Monster Hunter movie thanks to a photo that has been uploaded to the Instagram of Diego Boneta, who is starring in the film. The fans of the Monster Hunter series have been anticipating the movie based on the popular video game franchise with a certain degree of dread. The vast majority of movies based on video games tend to suck by default, but Monster Hunter has the added complication of starring faceless characters that are made by the player, who go on to fight giant monsters....

This week, the creators of 2018’s Ashen, A44 Games, announced a new open-world RPG, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn. The game also made an appearance today during [email protected], just so you wouldn’t forget. Like Ashen, Flintlock is a third-person RPG with brutal combat. The game is all about fighting off undead hordes, and you’ll do so with a blend of magic and gunpowder. My favorite kind of blend. Based on the cinematic trailer alone, it’s hard to say how close Flintlock will follow in Ashen‘s heels....

Prince of Persia is back, but maybe not how fans of the franchise would like. Ubisoft revealed on Thursday that For Honor will be featuring a special crossover event with Prince of Persia, titled Blades of Persia. The Blades of Persia event is a limited-time crossover that will roll out in two different chapters between now and April 2. The heart of the Blades of Persia crossover event is a brand new game mode for For Honor....

Ubisoft has announced that it will be unsheathing dedicated servers for the PC version of For Honor on February 19. PS4 and Xbox One owners aren’t being left out in the cold though, with dedicated servers also coming to those platforms at some point down the line. The feature is just one of many improvements coming to For Honor, and will hopefully polish up the game’s matchmaking by removing session migration and NAT requirements....

Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto has admitted to disliking Navi, calling Ocarina of Time’s fairy companion the “biggest weakpoint” of the game. The comments come from a 1999 interview with Miyamoto originally printed in a Japanese strategy guide and now published online. Commenting on the difficulty of the puzzles, Miyamoto admitted that the Navi hint system is “a little too unfriendly”, though pursuing perfection in a hint system would drive the developers into a hole....

Today, Netflix welcomes fans to Thedas with an official trailer for its upcoming anime adaptation of one of the most beloved fantasy series in gaming. The show, titled Dragon Age: Absolution, follows Miriam, a pragmatic elven mercenary who escaped enslavement in Tevinter that now must find her way in the world while overcoming her trauma. The Anaheim Convention Center hosted the first Dreamhack on the west coast this past weekend and by all accounts, the event went off without a hitch. Attendance was strong and the atmosphere was lively at this first of (hopefully) many Dreamhack events in Southern California. Dreamhack began in the late ’90s as a gathering of a small group of friends in a Swedish elementary school and has grown into a massive international series of conventions....

Emily Watson and Shirly Henderson will star in the upcoming series Dune: The Sisterhood, a spin-off to the 2021 film. In a report from Deadline, Watson and Henderson will portray Valya Harkonnen and Tula Harkonnen, respectively, as the formidable Harkonnen Sisters. The series will see the two siblings rising to power in the Sisterhood, a secret female organization later known as the Bene Gesserit. No information was released on whether the Henderson sisters will act as the show’s protagonists....

Dungeons and Dragons is a wonderful pass time with pretty much endless possibilities as far as what players can actually do. However, the entire experience hinges on a single person: the Dungeon Master. Running a game as a DM can be nerve-racking, as the entire experience depends on how well they can paint a picture for their players. Techland’s next-gen spruce-up of the original Dying Light is, following its recent PS5 release, now available on Xbox Series X/S, with enhancements available for Xbox One X too. As was the case on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X owners will be able to switch between one of three different video modes once today’s Dying Light patch is downloaded. Performance mode looks to deliver 60fps in full HD resolution, while Quality mode supports 30fps in 4K....

The sequel for Techland’s Dying Light series, Dying Light 2, was shown off at Xbox’s E3 2019 conference. Featuring familiar verticality and zombie horror, along with new faction-based play, it will release in Spring 2020. This entry introduces us to Aiden Caldwell, a man struggling to maintain some semblance of social order while being one of the Infected zombies himself. He apparently manages to sustain his humanity through some kind of breathing apparatus....
