Just in time for the holidays, Fire Emblem Heroes has added the Legendary Hero Celica: Queen of Valentia to the game in the newest Legendary Hero Focus.

One of the most recognizable girls from the franchise, Celica made her first appearance in Fire Emblem Gaiden, released in 1992 for Nintendo’s Famicon. She returned to screens in 2017 for the 3DS remake, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. She also appears in Awakening and Warriors. Though this is not Celica’s first appearance in Fire Emblem Heroes (other variations include “Caring Princess”, “Imprisoned Soul”, and “Warrior Priestess) this marks her Legendary Hero spotlight debut. Her “Queen of Valentia” variation is green as a tome-based (magic) infantry unit.

Nintendo dropped the first trailer for Celica: Queen of Valentia earlier this week on their YouTube channel.

The trailer showcased Celica in action, fighting off enemies with her special attacks. Some of her five-star learnable skills include “Saintly Seraphim”, “Miracle”, “Swift Sparrow 3”, “Soul of Zofia”, and “Atk/Spd Oat 3”. The trailer also showed off her artwork, featuring her in her signature gold armor.

Other heroes available for this month’s Legendary Hero Focus were featured in the trailer and are listed below. The lineup includes popular characters from even the most recent (and currently most popular) Fire Emblem title, Three Houses.

Red

  • Ike: Vanguard Legend Roy: Blazing Lion Hrid: Icy Blade

Blue

  • Peony: Sweet Dream Naga: Dragon Divinity Dimitri: The Protector

Green

  • Celica: Queen of Valentia Thrasir: Omnicidal Witch Edelgard: The Future

Colorless

  • Eir: Merciful Death Robin (F): Fell Vessel Claude: The Schemer

The trailer also dropped one important piece of information that players hoping to snag these special characters may find exciting - an increased drop rate of 8%. Time to use all those orbs!

The game has been spoiling its players with new updates and character additions as of late. Just earlier this month, the game went through a special Christmas update that added characters Nino, Zephiel, and Jaffar from The Blazing Blade (GameBoy Advance, 2003), sibling duo Marth and Elice from Shadow Dragon (Famicom, 1990). Most exciting was the addition of Three Houses’s favorite sleepy loli goddess Sothis, dressed in festive holiday attire.

Fire Emblem Heroes is available for free download on iOS and Android devices.
