EA Sports’ FIFA 19 has scored a UK number one following its launch last week, though physical sales of the footie sequel are down by 25% in comparison to last year’s instalment.

Still, that didn’t stop the game from becoming the UK’s biggest title of 2018 so far (via GI.biz), although perhaps that was inevitable – it’s FIFA, after all. In terms of platforms, FIFA 19 sold the lion’s share of copies on PlayStation 4 (64%), with Xbox One coming in second at 35% and Switch at just 1%.

Spider-Man meanwhile falls to second place, although it’s now overtaken Far Cry 5 to become the second best-selling game of the year after just four weeks. Blimey. It’s even more impressive considering Insomniac Games’ outing is only available on PlayStation 4.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 also dented the charts at number nine, selling through just over half of all copies on Sony’s console.
