EA Sports has predicted that the LA Galaxy will win the 2011 MLS Regular Season this year, although their last sports prediction didn’t quite pan out.

After taking a look at their predictions, which are simulated in FIFA 11, it looks like an interesting season is coming up. The Galaxy reportedly finish with 24 regular seasons wins, which would equal the current record set by their team back in 1998.

Conversely, Portland Timbers fans are sure to be mad at seeing FIFA 11 predict an astounding -40 goal difference, planting them firmly in last place. It’s also interesting to note that the simulation ran on PS3 and Xbox versions of FIFA 11, though both the Portland Timbers and Vancouver Whitecaps weren’t included in the game at all.

Colorado Rapids, the current Cup champions, finish fourth in the standings. For whatever reason, the playoffs themselves were not simulated. For some good news, though, fans of DC United will be happy their once-title-winning team apparently improves from a last place finish - all the way to 4th in the Eastern Conference. I guess new manager Ben Olsen works out!
