This will not come as too much of a surprise to most Ubisoft gamers but it has been confirmed nevertheless. Ubisoft is implementing the Denuvo anti-tamper piracy protection in the upcoming Far Cry 5.

Ahead of the March release, the EULA that’s appeared on Steam confirms the presence of Denuvo which at least warns players of its presence ahead of launch. The note in the EULA also mentions that DRM could limit the number of installations.

This past weekend it appears that the latest version of Denuvo 4.8 has been circumvented by crackers but whetherUbisoft adds additional protection. Assassin’s Creed Origins remains uncracked still which is good news for Ubi and they will be hoping that Far Cry 5 stays safe and secure.
