Remember that fake Nintendo NX controller? Well, you can now buy it on eBay for $10,000.
Despite being entirely forged, the listing describes the pad as an “official Replica Nintendo NX development Controller”, stating that only five were ever made.
“Your [sic] bidding on an official Replica Nintendo NX development Controller,” the listing reads. “The unit is very rare as only 5 of these replicas were made in existence.”
Bidding starts at $4,000, although if you’re eager you can Buy It Now for $10,000. I’m not sure I’ll be placing a bid myself…
There isn’t even a guarantee that it’s the same ‘fake’ controller as featured in the original video. The images posted on eBay appear to feature the words ‘CNE Design official replica 3/5’, suggesting it could actually be a knock-off of the knock-off.
The fake controller made headlines back in March after images of it appeared on Reddit, leading to creator Frank Sandqvist releasing an apology video explaining how it was made.
Nintendo NX launches in March. We still don’t know what its actual controller will look like.
